Since the beginning of the humankind and especially after using the hands as a tool, men have created many works of art consciously or not. In the primitive ages, the tribe magicians were known with their ability to create some statues or spells for a fruitful hunting or wellness of the tribe itself. Or in the Middle Ages, the artists of that time have created art to hail the religion. When we criticize the first pieces of art with our current knowledge of art history, we will fall into a big trap. Therefore, it is important to acknowledge the social, economic and political conditions of the time periods in which the pieces of art were created.
