IN THE CONTEXT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CREATIVITY CULTURE, EVALUATION OF EMPLOYEES’ ATTITUDES RELATING TO CREATIVITY MANAGEMENT: THE CASE OF PUBLIC AND PARTICIPATION BANKS IN KONYA

Abstract

Today, enterprises developing new and creative ideas and implementing them can renovate themselves in this way, they can survive in increasingly intense competitive environment through being less affected by the uncertain environmental conditions globalization increases. Businesses, that are able to offer its customers new products and services by taking advantage of creative ideas, will have a great advantage in terms of sustaining their lives, expansion, reaching their objectives and fulfilling customer requests. In this context, research aims to measure and compare employee attitudes related to creativity management in public and participation banks. In parallel with this aim, firstly, the conceptual framework of concepts such as creativity, organizational creativity, and creativity management explained, and after, research findings demonstrated and discussed. "Survey" method was used In the research. The data required for the research were obtained by face-to-face (personal communication) survey method. 153 out of 200 distributed questionnaires were returned. In the evaluation of the survey results, "SPSS for Windows 15.0" version was used. According to data analyses results, it is determined that employees of participation banks have high and positive attitudes in creativity management and organizational creativity culture, rather than employees of public banks. Additionally, it is also achieved significant relations among some demographic variables such as gender, age, term of employment. Although it is thought that there is no difference between state, participation or private banks in today's competitive environment, creativity and innovation applications, each bank takes care of the creative and innovative applications and reflects this to their employees within the framework of customer satisfaction in order to survive; according to the survey results, contrary to expectations or tought, it was found that the creative organizational culture in participation banks and the employees' perception of creativity are higher.
