Abstract

Human is a social being. It is impossible for a person who lives alone and do not have any relation to the other people to have a social life. People who did not become social do not have a life of art and culture. From this perspective, the art is the understanding formed as a result of the culture, religion, traditions and education that people received. When we say the Islamic arts, we speak of arts that created by people who believed in the religion of Islam and shaped their life according to this. This type of art is not a sacred one, but it’s just an art style that carried out by Muslim people. Due to the nature of Islam, the Islamic arts generally developed within the framework of understanding of abstract art. Among these arts, the most efficient and the one that reached people on all levels was the calligraphy. Because, the calligraphy aroused every believer person’s interest, due to that it related to the writing of Quran. The most important stage of calligraphy to become an art object is, to cut off the pen nib inclined at a given angle. Writing pen, the more it be comfortable and smooth, the more the calligraphy artist has the opportunity to put forward his art so comfortable. From the different point, it would be a wrong approach to deal the art of calligraphy just as an art. For, the vast majority of tables consist of verses or sacred texts. These texts, while creating an art object visually, they are advises meaningly. So, the art of calligraphy fulfills the artistic function, likewise, the art fans who read the art object learn some important social rules.
