Abstract

The sociology science having arisen for solving problems of Western societies at France developed by opinions of some intellectuals. Although sociology was not seen as a science branch, it was understood that there were investigation area, subject, method of sociology. Therefore sociology had scientific improvement briskly after these phase. The investigations and studies performed by intellectuals have a big importance on rapid impovement. It was seen clearly that these intellectuals studied regarding common opinions at time time. The books of some foreign intellectuals were translated to Turkish language and presented to readers. The aim of purpose is to evaluate findings and to compare among books regardıng ıntroductıon to socıology wrıtten by foreıgn ıntellectuals and researchers and translated to current turkısh language. In this context, explanations regarding sociology of that time were done after nine books having been published among 1934-1950 years and falling within this investigation were surveyed and contents of these books was analyzed. The conclusion section of study, the some deductions were done within informations in these books and the study was ended. Also, it was planned providing contribution to sociology literature of our country by this study compared books regarding introduction to sociology written abroad and translated to Turkish language with books written by Turkish intellectuals at Turkish language.
