Detections of flight regions have continued day by day and new locations have been explored. However, as paragliding isn’t done everywhere because of natural and weather conditions, it brings many problems for sportsmen in its wake. As it hasn’t been researched before in Turkey and abroad, this study is of vital important. Also, the study is crucial because it enables institutions to see what problems the sportsmen face. In this study, it has been discussed whether the problems the sportsmen have and independent variables obtained from their personal information are different. Participants of the study consists of 363 paragliding athletes (53 women, 310 men) who are licensed in certain aviation sports clubs in Turkey and paragliding actively within 2014-2015 spring sport season. As data collection tool in the study, "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher, "Survey of Paragliders Problems (YPPA)", and "Open-Ended Question Form" were used. In the study, as there are more than two independent groups in percentage and personal information, the analysis of Kruskal Wallis H-Test has been used as a statistical method in the evaluation of data obtained from “Survey of Paragliders Problems (YPPA)”. As a result of Kruskal Wallis H-Test, in order to determine which independent groups have significant difference in detected problem sentences, Mann Whitney U-Test has been done in binary combinations of subgroups. At the end of the study, the survey has certain points with meaningful differences depending on sportsman’s ages, certificate level and sport education. It can be stated that this study provides important information for athletes interested in paragliding, coaches and the manager of relevant institutions and organizations.},author={Yasemin KARADEMİR-- Özbay GÜVEN},year={2016},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science Studies}}
