Abstract

In recent years, with the effects of the war in the Middle East, immigration has become a topic widely discussed by the public. At this point, academic studies on migration also increased and the phenomenon of migration has increased the attraction. The issues of migration from rural to urban or the phenomenon we might call "inner emigration," is one of the topics which has been discussing for a long time. Generally, this issue is discussed in the context of several variables based on poverty, rural nature of the liquidation, the uneven development of capitalism, the integration into the capitalist system and civil war. At the same time, migration form Rural to urban is discussed in the context of topics including urbanization, slum housing, and culture. In this study, a link will be established between cinema and social policies throughout the interdisciplinary approach. Thereby, the process will be run through the films located between the social realist cinema movements which are known as Trilogy of Omar L. Akad. Urbanization and slum housing cases which are the consequences of rural-urban migration will be taken basis and the analysis of the period will be made. We will make an effort to explain and let you understand the process of the films of trilogy of the wedding, diet and brides which is one of the first trilogy in the history of our country that captured "In the period of the decentralization of the nation-states ideas" in Turkey in the years of the disintegration of rural building. In this study, the films we dealt with, the phenomenon of rural-urban migration, as to the causes and consequences is discussed in theoretical and conceptual level and then comprehensive examination based on the story of the films were carried out.
