Russian writer M. Gorki expresses his opinion as follows: "Folklore is the beginning of the word art. We can not learn the true history of a people without learning folklore of a people. " Then the writer goes on: "Many women have been tallhearted in a particular way without their tired folklore since time immemorial." It is a popular art that has a few characteristics, written in redness with reed, without improvisation. Minstrel literature is the most widespread part of Turkish folk literature and affects parts of other written literatures. One of the most important genres of oral literature is the epics. The epics are divided into two within themselves: Heroic Epics, Muhabbet Epics. Dede Korkut, Köroğlu, Oguz Kagan are heroic legends. In our epics, emotions such as loyalty, having the important qualities of man, having bread and losing bread come to the forefront.
