Towards the end of this epoch, a military intervention which was also named post-modern military coup d'état, were went through on 28th 1997 in Turkey. Anti-secular discourses and activities which were thought to raised after coming into power of Welfare Party (i.e. Refah Partisi), were regarded as one of the most prominent threat against integrity of the state then this circumstance paved the way for military intervention of 28th February. Afterward a military intervention which was endured, several regulations were tried to be implemented in order to take measures against developments which triggered this process. Measures which were planned to take in order to actualise forementioned aime, was arranged as List of Measures. Associations and foundations which are significant institutions of civil society’s life, also were effected by February 28th process. These foundations which have notably increase since middle of the 1980s, have been drawing attention especially religious education and activities on the cultural realms. On the otherside those activities have been approached with suspicion by some circles. Along with February 28th process, some associations and foundations which their activities were presumed “reactionary activities”, were followed up closely and some precautions were taken against to them. There were totally 517 religious foundations in Turkey, was emphasized via a report prepared by military units in 1998. It was alleged that 124 Islamic foundations of these foundations carried out reactionary activities. More than 20 of these foundations were closed down on the grounds of reactionary, in the course of this process. In the present research has referred that February 28th Intervention’s effects on Islamic associations and foundations and in this direction developments which occured afterwards this process.},author={Berrin BAYBURT-- Doğan DUMAN},year={2017},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science Studies}}
