Abstract

Spain and Turkey are the countries left behind traces the modern history with their long-standing background. It is possible to say that the situation of both countries was sensitive in the period before Third Reich started to show its effect as a threat in 1939. In fact, while Spain turned out three years of civil war yet, Turkey put across a great war of independence and declared the republic after the war that resulted in victories. During this period, a plan for economic, social and cultural development was needed for both countries. Therefore, both countries had avoided new adventures and dangerous initiatives. Between the years 1939-1945, took place the Second World War, Spain and Turkey showed a similar attitude in matters remain neutral and they needed effective diplomacy and the right sense to maintain their neutrality. Each other geographically distant from the two Mediterranean countries, Spain and Turkey because of its resemblance to each other after the 1939 position in domestic and foreign policy issues is preferred. Have not studied the history of the Republic of Turkey has also been active in our study. In our study, the work of David Salinas was used especially for the politics of Spain while researching the literature. In terms of Turkish foreign policy, the archives of the Republic and the records of the Turkish Grand National Assembly have been taken into account. Foreign Affairs officials have not been able to obtain information from both Turkey and Spain.
