After joining the homeland in 1920, Iğdır faced many problems that need to be solved in the field of health as well as in every field. One of the most important problems in the field of health in Iğdır was the insufficiency of health institutions and health personnel. In addition, having infectious diseases in Iğdır and its surroundings was another problem. Malaria, one of the infectious diseases, was common in Iğdır and its surroundings. In this context, the policies and investments made for the solution of health problems in the country also showed their effects in Iğdır.
