Abstract
İnsanın tarih sahnesine çıkışıyla birlikte görülen suça ve cinayete olan eğilimi, kent hayatının getirdiği problemler çerçevesinde yoğunluğunu artırdıktan sonra, edebî sahada da polisiye gibi merak ve gizemi öne çıkaran bir roman türünün doğmasına öncülük etmiştir. Cinayet, katil ve polis (dedektif) gibi unsurların birleşmesinden oluşan polisiye, bu unsurların getirdiği merak duygusuyla çok ve çabuk okunmasından ve estetik dilin de geri plana atılmasından dolayı popüler bir roman türü olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, birçok polisiye yazarı sanat endişesi taşımayarak belli kalıplar çerçevesinde söz konusu roman türünün sınırlarını daraltmıştır. Ancak, son zamanlarda polisiye roman, modern roman tekniklerinin kullanımıyla birlikte, kendini yenileyerek gerek dil gerek tema bakımından bir zenginliğe kavuşmuştur. Birçok edebî türde eser veren ve romanlarında da çok katmanlı bir anlatım tekniğini uygulayan Murathan Mungan da Şairin Romanı adlı romanını fantastik bir polisiye olarak kurgulamış ve polisiyeye fantastik öğeleri katmakla polisiyenin klişe yapısının dışına çıkmıştır. Mungan, aktüel ve geçmiş gibi iki zamana göre kurguladığı romanında, bilinmeyen bir zaman ve mekânda yaşamı şiirle anlamlandıran bir hayatın içerisine, birçok şairin bir cinayete kurban gitmesini ve bu cinayetlerin de arama yahut da yolculuk ekseninde çözülme sürecini anlatmıştır. Yazar, çeşitli temalarla zenginleştirdiği romanında, cinayetin çözülme sürecinde akıldan ziyade fantastik öğeleri öne çıkarmakla, aklı kendisine başat unsur yapan polisiye yazarlardan farklı bir konumda yer aldığını göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada, polisiye ve fantastik kavramları hakkında kısa bir açıklamaya gidilecek, sonra da bu kavramların söz konusu romanda cinayet, cinayeti işleyen katiller ve cinayeti çözmeye çalışan polis karakteri içerisinde nasıl yer aldığı açıklanacaktır. Ayrıca yazarın romanda, klasik polisiye kurguyu özellikle bozduğuna vurgu yapılarak, bu türe getirdiği yeniliğin de incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract
Man’s tendency towards crime and murder with his appearance in history, after it was centred on city and problems brought by the city, led to the birth of the detective novel in literature which puts forward couriosity and mystery. Detective novel which is comprised of murder, murderer and police (detective), has been regarded as a popular form of novel because it is read widely and quickly with the sense of curiosity these factors cause and because esthetic language is pushed into the background. Within this context many writers of detective novel have narrowed the borders of this form of novel through certain patterns with no concern about art. However, detective novel, with the use of modern novel tecniques, has achieved a richness in terms of both language and theme by renewing itself recently. Murathan Mungan who produces works of different literary genres and implements a multi- layer narrative tecnique, fictionalized his novel named The Poet’s Novel as a fantastic detective novel and went out of the stereotypical structure of the detective novel by adding fantastic elements to detective novel. In his novel he fictionalized in two periods being present and past, Mungan, inside a life giving meaning to life through poetry in an unknown time and place, has told the murder of many poets and the process of solving these murders through investigation or journey. The writer, in his novel he has enriched with various themes, by revealing that he cares about fantastic elements rather than mind in the process of solving the murder, has shown that he is in a different place from other detective novel writers who make the mind the principal element. In this article, the terms detective novel and fantastic will be explained briefly, then how these elements are positioned inside murder, murderers and the police character who is trying to solve the murder in the mentioned novel will be examined. By emphasizing the fact that the writer especially distorts classical detective fiction, it is also intended to examine the change he has brought.
