Çalışmamızın amacı; literatürde hakkında daha önce yapılmış çalışmaya rastlayamadığımız 19. yüzyıla ait bu eserdeki eğitim unsurlarını tespit etmek ve mektupları değerler eğitimi açısından incelemektir. Böylelikle 19. yüzyılda eğitim- öğretim materyali niteliğindeki bu metinlerin özelliklerini gözler önüne sermektir. Eser 19. Yüzyılın sonlarına ait olmasına rağmen içerdiği eğitim unsurları ve değerler eğitimi sistemi ile modern çağın eğitim ihtiyaçlarına cevap vermektedir. Özellikle Türkçe öğretiminde bu tarz mektupların kullanılması öğrencilerin derse olan isteğini artıracak, ilgilerini canlı tutacaktır.
