Abstract
Günümüzde müslümanların sünnet tasavvurunda bazı problemlerin olduğu, Hz. Muhammed’in sünneti denilince akla “şeklen ve sureten” ona benzemenin geldiği, ancak onu rehber edinmenin göz ardı edildiği, bir başka ifadeyle taklit etmek ile örnek almanın birbirine karıştırıldığı, böylece Hz. Peygamber’in örnekliğinden yeterince istifade edilemediği görülmektedir. Nitekim örnek almak, “öze ve amaca” ilişkin bir faaliyet iken taklit ise “biçime ve şekle” ilişkin bir eylemdir. Örnek almak, kişinin davranışlarında “ciddi ve kalıcı davranışlara” yol açarken, taklit ise kişinin davranışlarında “yüzeysel ve biçimsel” bir değişim meydana getirir. Oysa Hz. Peygamber’i örnek almak, onu taklit etmekle değil takip etmekle, bıraktığı izi sürmekle, davranışlarının arkasındaki amacı doğru anlamakla ve onun sünnetini hayata taşımakla mümkün olabilir. Bu bakımdan şekilde kalan ve öze inmeyen bir sünnet tasavvuru, Hz. Muhammed’in söz ve uygulamalarının arkasındaki maksadın doğru anlaşılmasını güçleştirmekte, müslümanların hayatını menfi anlamda etkilemekte ve model bir İslam toplumunun inşasını geciktirmektedir. Bu nedenle doğru bir sünnet anlayışının ikâme edilebilmesi için öncelikle problemin kaynağına inilmesi, sebepler üzerinde durulması, bunların derinlemesine analiz edilmesi ve çözüm önerilerinin geliştirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu makalede müslümanların farklı sünnet yaklaşımlarına dikkat çekilmekte, doğru bir sünnet tasavvurunun inşası için yapılması gerekenler tartışılmakta ve Hz. Peygamber’in sünnetinden örnekler verilerek onun hem müslümanlara hem de diğer insanlara doğru tanıtılması hedeflenmektedir.

Abstract
Today, Muslims have some problems in the conception of Sunnah. When it is called the Sunnah of Muhammad, we can think of being like him to “Shape and appearance” enough. However, it can be seen that not giving the importance required in obtaining a guide, in other words imitating and taking samples are mixed together, so that the Prophet’s sample cannot be used adequately. As a matter of fact, taking a sample is an action related to “essence and purpose” whereas imitation is an action related to “form and shape”. Taking an example leads to “serious and lasting behavior” in one’s behavior, whereas imitation brings a “superficial and formal” change in one’s behavior. However, it is possible to take the Prophet as an example, not to imitate him, but to follow him, to follow his trail, to understand the purpose behind his actions and to carry his Sunnah to life. In this respect, a non-essential Sunnah conception complicates the correct understanding of the purpose behind Muhammad’s words and practices. It affects the lives of Muslims in a negative way and delays the construction of a model Islamic society. For this reason, in order to substitute the correct Sunnah concept, first of all, the source of the problem needs to be focused on the reasons; these in-depth analysis and solution proposals need to be developed. This article draws attention to the different Sunnah approaches of Muslims, discusses what needs to be done for the construction of a true Sunnah, and it is aimed at giving examples from the Sunnah of the Prophet and introducing them to Muslims and other people.
