Abstract

Bu çalışmada, hemen hemen aynı dönemlerde yaşamış ve yaşamlarını intihar ederek sonlandırmış savaş sonrası Avusturya edebiyatının (Nachkriegsliteratur) iki seçkin kadın şair ve yazarı olan Ingeborg Bachmann ile Hertha Kräftner’in seçilmiş düz yazı metinleri karşılaştırılacaktır. Karşılaştırmak üzere seçtiğimiz bu metinlerin orijinal adları şu şekildedir: Ingeborg Bachmann'ın „Das Gebell von Hunden“ ile Hertha Kräftner’in "In der Hauptstadt” adlı öyküsü. (Ingeborg Bachmann'ın öyküsü Kamuran Şipal tarafından Türkçeye çevrilmiştir, ancak Hertha Kräftner’in öyküsü henüz dilimize çevrilmemiştir. Bu nedenle Kräftner’in metninden yapılan alıntılar, tarafımızdan Türkçeye çevrilmiştir).

Abstract

In this study, selected plain texts of Ingeborg Bachmann and Hertha Kräftner, two outstanding women poets and writers of post-war Austrian literature (Nachkriegsliteratur), who lived almost at the same time and who ended their lives by suicide, will be compared. The original titles of these texts we chose to compare are as follows: Hertha Kräftner's "In der Hauptstadt" and Ingeborg Bachmann's "Das Gebell von Hunden". (Ingeborg Bachmann's story has been translated into Turkish by Kamuran Şipal, but Hertha Kräftner's story has not yet been translated into our language. For this reason, the quotations from Kräftner’s text have been translated into Turkish by us). The subject of this comparative study is to discuss the problem of self-alienation (the alienation of the person to himself) and the alienation of family relations in the context of the ‘mother-son relationship’ in the selected texts of Ingeborg Bachmann's "Barking of Dogs" and Hertha Kräftner's "In the Capital". The aim of the study is to draw attention to the problem of alienation, which is one of the most important problems of the individual and societal aspects of the (post)modern era. In this study, we will compare the both narratives we choose to examine in terms of methodology in terms of 'common subject'. The method we use in analyzing texts on the axis of 'alienation is problematic' is an eclectic method of interpreting werkimmanent interpretation method, psychoanalytic, sociological and feminist criticism and reader-oriented (werktranszendental) approaches. In summary, in this original study; in both stories we choose from Hertha Kräftner and Ingeborg Bachmann, two important female poets and writers of Austrian literature, we will try to examine the tragic dimensions of which the anonymous (masculine) subjects which lives within the time pace flowing fast in big cities of capitalist and (post)modern period, to become estranged from themselves and their mothers in a comparative way.
