TÜRKÇENİN YABANCI DİL OLARAK ÖĞRETİMİNDE KULLANILAN DERS KİTAPLARININ SOSYOLOJİK GÖRÜNÜMÜ: YENİ İSTANBUL ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract
Bu çalışma Türkçenin yabancı dil olarak öğretiminde yaygın biçimde kullanılan ders kitaplarından biri olan Yeni İstanbul Uluslararası Öğrenciler İçin Türkçe Ders Kitabı seti örneklemi ekseninde Türk toplumunun sosyolojik görünümünü ortaya konmayı amaçlamıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden dokuman incelemesinin kullanıldığı çalışmada veriler belirtilen kitap setinden elde edilmiş ve betimsel analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda Türk toplumunun sosyolojik görünümünü belirlemeye kaynaklık edebilecek verilerin beş tematik başlık altında toplanabileceği değerlendirilmiştir. Türk insanının betimlenme biçimi, Türk aile yapısı, kişiler arası ilişkiler, Türk toplumunun sosyoekonomik görünümü ve Türkiye’nin kültürel mirası belirlenen tematik çerçevelerdir. Adı geçen tematik başlıklar altında bulgulardan hareketle şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: İncelenen kitap setinde Türk insanının ait olduğu medeniyet dairesi Doğu değil Batı’dır. Kentli ve eğitimli olan bu bireyler varlıklı sosyal tabakalara mensuptur. Türk aile yapısı akrabalı bağı sağlam, güçlü ilişkileri olan, kültürel bakımdan daha çok Batılı yaşamı benimseyen çekirdek aile olarak yansıtılmıştır. Kadın ve erkek ilişkileri modern dünyanın kabul ettiği çerçeve içerisinde ele alınmıştır. Küresel kültürle birlikte giderek zayıflayan komşuluk ilişkisinin devam ettiği vurgulanmaktadır. Türk toplumunun sosyoekonomik görünümü refah düzeyi yüksek bir ülke imajı çizecek biçimde sunulmuştur. Ülkemizin sosyolojik görünümün önemli bileşenlerinden biri olan kültürel ögelerimiz tanınmış örnekleriyle kitap setinde yer almaktadır. Bu kültürel motifler arasında hem somut hem de soyut olanlar bulunmaktadır. Bunlar dil becerilerini geliştirecek biçimde tasarlanmıştır. Kitap yazarları Türk toplumunun sosyolojik görünümünü beli kesimlere indirgeyerek kapsayıcı ve kuşatıcı olmak yerine seçici olmayı tercih etmiştir.

Abstract
This study aimed to reveal the sociological view of Turkish society on the axis of the New Istanbul Turkish Textbook for International Students, which is one of the widely used textbooks in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In the study, in which document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used, the data were obtained from the specified book set and analyzed by descriptive analysis method. In this context, it has been evaluated that the data that can be a source for determining the sociological view of Turkish society can be gathered under five thematic headings. The way of depicting Turkish people, Turkish family structure, interpersonal relations, socioeconomic view of Turkish society and cultural heritage of Turkey are the determined thematic frameworks. Based on the findings under the aforementioned thematic headings, the following conclusions were reached: In the book set examined, the civilization circle to which the Turkish people belonged is the West, not the East. These individuals, who are urban and educated, belong to wealthy social strata. The Turkish family structure is reflected as a nuclear family with strong kinship ties, strong relations, and culturally adopting more Western life. The relations between men and women are handled within the framework accepted by the modern world. It is emphasized that the neighborhood relationship, which is gradually weakening with the global culture, continues. The socio-economic view of the Turkish society is presented in a way that draws the image of a country with a high level of prosperity. Our cultural elements, which are one of the important components of the sociological view of our country, are included in the book set with well-known examples. These cultural motifs include both tangible and intangible ones. These are designed to improve language skills. The authors of the book preferred to be selective rather than inclusive and encompassing by reducing the sociological view of Turkish society to certain segments.
