Abstract
Doodle sanatı, spontan ve serbest çizimlerle ortaya çıkan, görsel iletişimde özgün bir anlatım dili sunan illüstratif bir anlatım türüdür. Bu çalışma, çağdaş doodle sanatçılarının eserlerinde yer alan çizim, motif ve ikonografik öğeleri Roland Barthes’ın göstergebilimsel çözümlemesi çerçevesinde, düz anlam ve yan anlam boyutlarıyla analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Barthes’ın yaklaşımına göre, anlam yalnızca yüzeysel göstergelerle sınırlı olmayıp, kültürel ve düşünsel katmanlarla zenginleşmektedir. Bu bağlamda, sanatçıların eserlerinde tekrarlayan motifler ve semboller, çok katmanlı görsel anlamlar taşıyan öğeler olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
Araştırmada çağdaş doodle sanatçıları Keith Haring, Sagaki Keita, Jon Burgerman, Mr Doodle (Sam Cox) ve Shantell Martin’in eserleri incelenmiştir. Sanatçıların eserlerinde yer alan çizimlerin biçimsel özellikleri ve tekrar eden ikonografik unsurlar detaylı olarak çözümlemiş, böylece doodle sanatının kendine özgü görsel dilinin temel bileşenleri ortaya konmuştur. Bu çalışma, doodle sanatının yalnızca basit bir karalama türü olmanın ötesinde, çok katmanlı anlamlar taşıyan zengin bir görsel anlatım biçimi olduğunu ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Sade çizgilerle anlatım gücü yüksek görsel yapılar oluşturma potansiyelini inceleyen bu yaklaşım, doodle sanatının estetik, anlatı ve iletişim alanlarındaki özgün konumunu anlamaya katkı sunmaktadır.

Abstract
Doodle art is an illustrative expression type that emerges with spontaneous and free drawings and offers a unique language of expression in visual communication. This study aims to analyse the drawings, motifs and iconographic elements in the works of contemporary doodle artists within the framework of Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis with the dimensions of plain meaning and connotation. According to Barthes' approach, meaning is not limited to surface indicators, but is enriched with cultural and intellectual layers. In this context, repetitive motifs and symbols in the works of the artists were evaluated as elements that carry multi-layered visual meanings.
In the research, the works of contemporary doodle artists Keith Haring, Sagaki Keita, Jon Burgerman, Mr Doodle (Sam Cox) and Shantell Martin were analysed. The formal characteristics and recurring iconographic elements of the drawings in the works of the artists were analysed in detail, thus revealing the basic components of the unique visual language of doodle art. This study aims to reveal that doodle art is not only a simple doodle type, but also a rich form of visual expression with multi-layered meanings. This approach, which examines the potential of creating expressive visual structures with simple lines, contributes to understanding the unique position of doodle art in the fields of aesthetics, narrative and communication.
