Abstract
Bu çalışma, Almanya’da son yirmi yılda gelişen “çocuk teolojisi” (Kindertheologie) yaklaşımını Türkiye’de tanıtarak, bu alanın çocuk edebiyatı ile ilişkisini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çocuk teolojisi, çocukların Tanrı, yaratılış, ölüm ve ahiret gibi varoluşsal sorularını ciddiye alarak, hazır cevaplar sunmak yerine onların düşünme, sorgulama ve yorumlama süreçlerini teşvik eden bir yaklaşımdır. Uluslararası literatürde özellikle Almanya, İngiltere ve ABD gibi ülkelerde din pedagojisi, çocuk edebiyatı ve çocuk psikolojisi alanlarında yerleşmiş bir yöntem olarak benimsenen çocuk teolojisi, Türkiye’de ise henüz akademik anlamda gelişme aşamasındadır. Çalışmada, Türkiye’de çocuk teolojisine yönelik sınırlı sayıdaki akademik çalışmanın büyük ölçüde dini eğitim bağlamında kaldığı, edebiyat temelli araştırmaların ise neredeyse hiç bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Çocuk edebiyatı, soyut teolojik kavramların somut ve duygusal bağlamda işlenmesine imkân sağlayan güçlü bir araçtır. Bu bağlamda, çocuk teolojisinin edebiyatla buluşturulması, çocukların dini ve manevi gelişimini destekleyecek, onların eleştirel düşünme ve anlamlandırma becerilerini güçlendirecektir. Çalışma, Türkiye’de bu alanda disiplinlerarası araştırmaların artırılmasının hem çocuk teolojisinin gelişimine hem de çocuk edebiyatının içerik ve işlevine önemli katkılar sağlayacağını vurgulamaktadır.

Abstract
This study aims to introduce the concept of “children’s theology” (Kindertheologie), which has developed in Germany over the past two decades, to the Turkish academic context and to examine its relationship with children’s literature. The study is based on qualitative research methods, specifically literature review and document analysis, and adopts an interdisciplinary framework that brings together religious education and literary studies. Children’s theology is an approach that takes children’s existential questions about God, creation, death, and the afterlife seriously, encouraging them to think, question, and interpret rather than offering ready-made answers. In the international literature, particularly in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, children’s theology has been established as a recognized approach in religious education, children’s literature, and child psychology. In Turkey, however, the field remains at an early stage of development. The findings indicate that the limited research on children’s theology in Turkey is largely confined to the field of religious education, with almost no literature-based studies. In this context, children’s literature serves as a powerful medium for presenting abstract theological concepts within concrete and emotionally accessible narratives. The original contribution of this study lies in proposing an interdisciplinary framework that brings together children’s theology and children’s literature, highlighting the need to address these two fields together in the Turkish context. The study concludes that increasing interdisciplinary research in this area will contribute both to the development of children’s theology and to the enrichment of the content and function of children’s literature.
