There are other samples of y- ~ b- variations: yart ~ bart (DLT. “water glass” ), yudutmak ~ budutmak (DLT. To kill someone by freezing in cold), yulak ~ bulak “spring, well spring, fountain”, yoz ~ boz ~ bor “wild, unimproved and uncultivated land; uncultivated hardpan”, yaldır yaldır~ baldır baldır “gleamingly” … In conclusion the root of the verb “balkı-” should be searching by connecting to the verbs “yalkı- ~ yılkı- ~ ılkı-” This is also the “ *ya-” verb root which has derivatives like “ yan-, yal- , yak-, yar-, yaru-, yaşu-”, The verb structure of “ balkımak ” should be illumined by connecting to the verb “yalkı-” In such a case “balkı-(~ yalkı-) was formed by adding +ı/+i to “yalk (~balk: blink, flash) the noun type which was derived from “yal-” by adding “-k ”
