From this point of view, Divanü Lugati’t Türk, which was, approximately, written a thousand years ago, is, as a great many researchers agreed, one of the first historical and cultural reference books rather than being the first Turkish dictionary. The life style and understanding life of societies can be seen on languages of societies. In Divanü Lugati’t Türk beside of love, the natural aspect of human being that is the sexuality is also explained. Moral deviation words are words that give information about social building of a society. But, Turkish vocabulary is not studied in details. As a result in this article, words referring to love and sexuality in Divanü Lugati’t Türk were taken into consideration in particular. The work that we examined as a source could give an idea about the love and sexuality terms of the written period because of being a glossary. Our study a screening model been based on document review. Therefore, firstly scanning Divanü Lugati’t Türk line by line, all words, idioms, proverbs, couplets and written-in-verse components reflecting love and sexual life of its age have been indexed and listed in it self.},author={Adem AYDEMİR},year={2012},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science Studies}}
