Abstract

Glass ceiling is the organizational problem for the women that effected their career development. In our society, there are clearly discriminations about social roles between men and women. These disriminations were writtien peoples’ mind from childhood period. Then in future we see these discriminations as stereotype judgements. On the other hand fear is a feeling that affected our whole life. In literature a lot of different fear types were have been holeded from different perspectives. But generally it was accepted as 5 different fear types. These are, work / stres fear, critism / failure fear, unknown fear, death / danger fear and not enough having fear. This result will be stated that Glass ceiling is happened in a different way of fear. This study is planned to clarify that. In this study we apply the experiment on126 women teacher who work in public and this study is stated that for learning what kinds of fear that feels Turkish women teacher for prejudgement in education sector and showing of the results of affects of this problem in our community. The most important result of this study, streotypes is effecting almost all fear types. Since this is a new topic, all this results make important contribution on literature.
