Abstract

Memoirs as a kind of literary, which are important in terms of literary history, and as well as important area of research such as history, sociology, anthropology, urbanism. Memoirs are given full weight by World Literature. Most man of letters, politician, statesman, bureaucrat, artist, traveler, etc. write their memories and leave behind a number of Works in this field. The sort of memories appears to be very little in Turkish Literature. Looking at this, writing memory, recording experiences custom can be said very little in our literature. Only until mid nineteenth century, looking at how many memories written in Turkish is even enough to understand that this sort wasn’t in demand for Turkish Literature. But after in the second half of the nineteenth century the number of this type of work grown. After the Republic, many important people wrote and puplished their memories. One of them was Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. Especially his Works named Kafakağıdı, O ve Ben, Bâbıâli starting with the author’s childhood, include so much information about his, his family, people who he knows and his experiences. A prominent feature in his memories: He criticise most of his friend or acquaintance too fiercely. People, who doesn’t thinking like him or doesn’t move with him are the most to be criticized. Despite this, Necip Fazıl admires Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan so much and it is seen that he reflected this admiration to his Works. Looking at Necip Fazıl’s work, it ‘s seen that there ara three reason of his admiration for Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan: his being a poet, being particular about his dress and his being wont to metaphysics. As these three elements are in existance Necip Fazıl, his approach toward Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan is more positive than most of his other friends.
