Abstract

The arts of the book and the book value of the Turks, understood the priceless manuscripts where in Turkey and in the world of museums and libraries. The Turks have a very rich and ancient culture, their knowledge of art through the centuries, they brought from Central Asia to Anatolia had the opportunity development. Especially Turks, who produced unique manuscripts, have been acceptable to the world about it themselves. Turkish Illumination Arts have got an important place in the art books from the beginning to nowadays. The illumination and binding have a long history. The best example of that could be seen in the religious works. In addition, it is found in selected ornament in literary and scientific hand manuscripts prepared for important persons. Furthermore the leader of the outer-religious works is "Dîvân". Before the discovery of the printing press, the books with hand-written is called manuscripts. Public Library of II. Bayezid in Amasya is an important center in terms of host the Quran, tafsir, fiqh, such religious manuscripts, as well as literary and scientific manuscripts. It is possible to view together illumination, calligraphy, binding, miniature and marbling such book arts, in these manuscripts. Besides the library has a great importance in terms of manuscripts. In this study, the Divan manuscript has inventory number 1882, in Public Library of II. Bayezid in Amasya has been evaluated in terms of illumination, calligraphy, binding, colors and motifs used.
