Abstract

Higher education is an education grade after the high school education. There are diffrenet conditions of entry of higher education and different reconstructions of higher education systems around the world because of different policies, cultures etc. of countries. In the introduction part of this study, some different countries of entry conditions of higher education systems are brought out. Generally, higher education programmes are open to all students around the world, but there are two conditions of entering higher education programmes; one of them is to accomplish a high school programme and then another one is to have success on some constrains like exams controlled by a central establisment. The situation of Turkey, in this case, is more similar to second one and the exams of entry of higher education is made by a central establisment (OSYM). The contents of the exams are composed from the attainments of the programme assessed by Ministry of Education. In this study, first of all, the attainmets specified in Ministry of Education’s Language and Speech Programme (9-12 grades) and YGS-2010 Turkish Questions prepared by OSYM was had by scanning model and used as database. On the basis of database, the concept lists provided from the experts are depicted in the light of linguistcs. From the attainments, 109 concepts have been provided. And from the questions, 16 concepts have been provided. In the concept list related to the questions, the most apparent concept is “inference”. As result, the mismatches are observed between the concept list related to attainments of Language and Speech Programme (9-12 grades) and the concept list related to YGS-2010 Turkish Questions.
