Abstract

The study aims to investigate the effects on the success of teaching of locative suffixes using by visual materials in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. The study was designed as a qualitative study and experimental model was used. The research has been conducted with the help of 37 participants who currently learn Turkish as a foreign at Foreign Language Department of the Thessalonica Aristotle University. 3 lessons of 45 minutes were given by the researcher to the control and experimental groups of beginner level Turkish as foreign language students. Some of the variables such as participants’ level of success, correctly use rates of locative suffixes, space-filling and matching success rates have messured by locative suffixes subject test formed by the expert researchers. The data transferred to the SPSS (Statistic Program for Social Sciences) program. Arithmetic means and standard deviations of 4 sub-dimensions were calculated.
