Abstract

Economic and structural transformation process progressing rapidly has brought globalization and competition all around the world. The most effective way of dealing with this changing process and keeping up innovative movements for societies is education. For educational organizations, using human resources effectively is a necessity because of their natural human based structure. A new approach in human resources management that enables to accelerate educational organizations and attract talented leaders who can lead schools by producing unique value and indicate characteristics of leadership in schools must be accepted. In this perspective, talent management is an option as a contemporary management function that enables organization to pick, train and provide commitment of leaders for schools. The aim of the study is to criticize process of talent management in the light of structural models, to determine the advantages of having talented leaders in educational organizations and offer suggestions to policymakers, educational planners and present leaders. As result of the study, the process of the talent management consists of setting goals and objectives of the organization, determining key positions, create a talent pool, training and enhancement, performance evaluation, withholding and commitment and career development. In the end of the study empirical studies on talent management that focuses on selecting, training and provide commitment to organizations of candidate leaders and differs from human resources management in these aspects should be conducted as a suggestion of study is stated. By the way implementations in private education sector should be moved into public sector and talent management process should be used and analyzed in educational organizations and schools.
