The researched has been done by using cross-sectional scanning model. By using Random sample method, 313 students sample was created from the universe and in the research Personal Infor-mation Questionnaire, Problematic Internet Use Scale and the Parent Attitude Scale da-ta were collected. In this study, the data collected was analyzed using SPSS 20 software package, and the findings have been interpreted in tables. According to the result of the research, more than half of the 7th and 8th grade students use the internet for about 2 hours a day and still almost half of Internet use is not appear to be controlled by the family. As the democratic family attitude rises the negative result of problematic in-ternet use can be observed to be reduce in the sub groups of social benefit / conven-ience; yet the excessive use of internet is not affected by the democratic family atti-tudes. As the attitude of protective and authoritarian family increases, the problematic internet use also increases. There is no significant difference in the attitudes of parents in terms of gender, class and whether the internet use is audited or not. In the prob-lematic internet use, girls are effected more negative than boys from the consequences of problematic internet use; on the other hand, boys are more effected than girls in terms of benefit / convenience; yet in excessive Internet use it is determined that there is no difference by gender. Also the problematic Internet use does not show any differ-ences according to class or whether the Internet audited or not.
