Modern Turkish theatre of which first works are written in Tanzimat-term has a connection with sociology until today. Artist and writers produced works by giving importance in sociology consciously or unconsciously. Tarık Buğra is one of these writers. Buğra is one of the representers of right-conservative theatre which hasn’t developed enough because of historical dynamics. Especially because of right-left dimension in 1960s in Turkey Tarık Buğra’s works drew attention and criticized by some others and praised by others. Thus, the work named Ayakta Durmak İstiyorum contains valuable examples because it reflects writer’s wording, thanks to its content conditions of mentioned term. Because, Tarık Buğra wrote right-conservative works in a term in which social realism is dominant.
