Çiçek, in his high school years, won the first place in his poetry contest titled "Otel Odası" (The Room of the Room). He graduated from the Faculty of Literature in Erzurum and developed his interest in the art of poetry with his educational life. Shortly before his death, one of the poets of Literature Magazine directed by Nuri Pakdil, İlhami Çiçek's poem in “Satranç Dersleri” (Chess Lessons) is published as a book. Poet who thinks that prose follows a logical plane and thinks that it is a transparent part of our inner adventure and a state of concentration, tells us that life appeared as concentrated in poetry. In this context, according to Çiçek, the poem breaks beyond the visible reality and breaks everything covering the essence and turns into passion. The poet who writes his poems with features such as bir image, animation, contradiction, unconventional reconciliation. Of the Second New poem, sees the past and future as a whole in his poems. While expressing the tragedy of the individual, it also expresses a universal tragedy. For this reason, his poems outweigh themes such as conflict, loneliness, alienation, abandonment, sadness hidden behind images and symbols. In this study, the poem of İlhami Çiçek was subjected to content analysis and the world of meaning of his poems was explained and thus, he contributed to poet's poetry poetics.},author={Hilal AKÇA},year={2018},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science Studies}}
