Abstract
Halk hikâyeleri halk anlatılarının önemli türlerinden biridir. Toplumun eğitiminde önemli rol oynayan halk hikâyeleri ve onu oluşturan ürünler ve bu ürünlerde oluşturulduğu toplumun özelliklerini, halkın düşünce ve yaşam biçimlerini belirgin bir biçimde görmek mümkündür. Bu yönüyle halk hikâyeleri temel dil becerilerinin geliştirilmesinde ve dolayısıyla Türkçe, Türk Edebiyatı ve Dil ve Anlatım derslerinde ders öğretmenleri tarafından kullanılabilecek önemli materyallerdir. Zira bu becerilerin geliştirilmesinde karşılaşılan en önemli problemlerden biri de kullanılacak metinler ve bu metinlerin nitelikleridir. Halk hikâyeleri içeriği, anlatım biçimi, hem anlama hem anlatmaya dayalı olması ve dilinin niteliği yönüyle derslerde seçilebilecek niteliğe sahip kaynaklardır. Her şeyden önce bu eserlerin milli kimlik taşımaları dil becerilerinin kazandırılmasında büyük bir önem arz etmektedir.

People's stories is one of the important types of folk narratives.
