Abstract

İslam devleti’nin sınırlarının Mezopotamya ve Suriye’ye ulaşması ile Müslümanlar Helenistik, İran ve Hint kültürleri ile karşılaştılar. Bunun sonucunda karşılıklı etkileşimler meydana geldi. Müslümanlar bu farklı kültürlere merak ve ilgi duydular. Bu karşılaşmadan evvel burada önemli kültür merkezleri vardı. Helenistik kültürün en önemli merkezleri İskenderiye, Urfa, Nusaybin Antakya, Harran, Gundi-Şapur idi. Bu kültür birikiminden en fazla yararlananlar Abbasiler oldu. Tercüme yoluyla eski dünyanın zenginliklerine ulaşıldı. Endülüs bu kültürel mirası Bağdat’tan aldı. Avrupa bu antik kültür mirasıyla Müslümanlar vasıtasıyla tanıştı.

Abstract

To reach the borders of the state of Islam to Syria and Mesopotamia, Müslims had encountered with the Hellenistic, Persian and Indian cultures. As a result of this, mutual interactions occured. Müslims were interested with curiosity and interest in these different cultures. Before this encounter, there were important culture centers here. The most important centers of Hellenistic culture of Alexandria, Urfa, Nusaybin, Antioch, Harran, was Gundi-Şapur. The beneficiaries of this cultural achievements was the Abbasids. Through the translation were reached to the ancient word wealthes. Andalusia obtained this cultural heritage from Baghdad. Europe introduced with this ancient culture heritage through the Müslims.
