Abstract
İnsanlık tarihinin kadim konusu olan Hz. Nuh ve tufanı, günümüzde halen araştırmalara konu olmaktadır. Makalede İslâm Tarihi’nin kaynaklarından üçünü esas alarak metodolojik bir deneme çalışması yaptık. Nuh tufanı incelenirken görüleceği üzere tarih kaynaklarımız, Yahudi kutsal metinlerinden önemli referanslar içermektedir. Bunun nedeni insandaki merak duygusudur. Zira söz konusu kutsal metinler ayrıntılar içermektedir. Ancak bu Hz. Nuh Tufanının iyi anlaşılmasına engel olmaktadır. İnsanlık tarihinin çok eski bir döneminde gerçekleşen bir olay ile ilgili Yahudi kutsal kitaplarında yer alan ayrıntılar, tevhidi tarihteki helak oluş ya da kurtulan toplum ekseninde düşündüğümüzde doğruluğu şüpheli bilgilerdir. Menkıbelerin karıştığı, insanların imal ettiği bazı rivayetlerin olması da dikkatlerden kaçırılmamalıdır. Müslümanlar başka konularda olduğu gibi tarihi anlama ve anlamlandırma konusunda da Kur’an’ı esas almalıdırlar. Kur’an’ın tarih konusunda öne çıkardığı kavramlar ise hikmet ve ibrettir. Bu nedenle Kur’an’da yer verilen kıssalarda Allah ayrıntılara yer vermez. İnsanların alabilecekleri ibretlere dikkat çeker. Makalede konuyu sadece tarih kaynakları açısından değil, Kur’an’ın müstakil bir suresi olan Nuh suresi bağlamında da ele aldık. Böylesi bir konunun ayetlerin perspektifinden bakılmadan anlaşılamayacağını unutmamak gerekir. Sonuç itibariyle ulu’l azm peygamberlerden olan Hz. Nuh’un hayatı, mücadelesi ve Allah’ın tarihe doğrudan bir müdahalesi olan tufan olayı bize insanlığın kadim tarihinin meselelerini anlamamızı, insanın binlerce yıl geçse de özelliklerinin aynı olduğunu ve bunun da bu kıssanın yer, zaman ve ırk gözetmeksizin mesajının evrensel olduğunu göstermektedir.
