Abstract
Edebiyat, sanat, felsefe, sinema tarihini en çok etkileyen eserlerden biri Shakespeare’in önemli tiyatro eseri Hamlet’tir. Hamlet; melankoli, intihar, ölüm gibi kavramların sorgulandığı, bireyin tarihten ve toplumsal kurallardan bağımsız olarak uyanışının ve yok oluş karşısında çaresizliğinin anlatıldığı başlangıç eserlerinden biri olarak önemlidir. Ayrıca Kabil ve Habil öyküsüne dayanan kardeş katli, anneye duyulan aşk ve nefret, babaya duyulan aşk, ihanet karşısında duyulan intikam hissi gibi edebiyatın temel konuları bu eserde tam karşılığını bulur. Yüz yıllar arası farklılıkla günümüzün büyük İngiliz yazarı Ian McEwan’ın yeni Hamlet’i Fındık Kabuğu romanında yaratması yazının inceleme konusudur. Ayrıca tarihten, mitolojiden, edebiyat ve sinema tarihinden çeşitli örneklerle McEwan’ın yarattığı son Hamlet, incelenmiştir. İncelemede özellikle Hamlet’in Peyami Safa, Oğuz Atay gibi Türk yazarları üzerindeki etkileri, dünya yazınından da örneklerle ayrı bir başlık altında ele alınmıştır. Sheakspeare’in ve Ian McEwan’ın metinlerindeki ortak noktalar belirlenerek, “Suç ve Yılan”, “Doğum” gibi başlıklar altında incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Sinema Uyarlamaları başlığı altında Hamlet’in yalnızca edebiyat değil başka sanat dalları üzerinde de etkili olduğu vurgusu üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çalışma, farklı dönemlere ait olmalarına rağmen Hamlet ve Fındık Kabuğu adlı eserlerin ortak özelliklerine değinmekte ve ele aldıkları konuların benzer yönlerini incelemektedir. Bununla beraber, Hamlet’in sanatsal anlamda çok yönlü ve etkin bir eser olduğu kavramı gözler önüne serilmektedir.

Abstract
Literature, art, philosophy, cinema are affected deeply from one of the most effective theatre of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Hamlet is very important starting text by questioning the terms like melancholia, suicide and death, awakening of an individual from history, freeing from social norms and the desperate feeling against extinction. Likewise, in the Babylonian story, it is tied up with murder of brother, hate and love to a mother and father, vengeance against betrayal; basic principles of literature is shown in this novel as a matter of fact. It has become a subject of making references. With the differences of centuries, Ian McEwan’s new Hamlet, which is created in his “Nutshell” novel, is this research’s subject. McEwan’s last Hamlet is analyzed by examples from history, mythology, literature and the history of cinema. In the study, the effect of Hamlet on Turkish writers like Peyami Safa, Oguz Atay and examples from world writings are tackled in a separate section. The common points between Ian McEwan’s and Shakespeare’s text are defined in the sections of “Crime and Snake” and “Birth”. In the “Cinema Adaptations” section, it is underlined that Hamlet has an important effect not only on the literature but also on the other arts. This study handles the two different works- Hamlet and Nutshell- from two different periods and tackles the similarities of these two works. Additionally, it is displayed that Hamlet is artistically versatile and effective.
