Abstract
Sinema filmlerinin üretimi, belirli bir yapım süreci içinde gerçekleşir. Temelde üç aşamadan oluşan film yapım sürecinin aşamaları; yapım öncesi (pre-production) aşama, yapım (production) aşaması ve yapım sonrası (post-production) aşama olarak sıralanabilir. Tanımından ve teknoloji ile olan ilişkilerinden de anlaşılacağı üzere, sinema anlatımı; film hikayesinin senaryo aşamasında (çekim öncesinde) sahnelere bölünmesi (dekupage), çekim aşamasında senaryodaki ilgili sahnelerin görsel-işitsel hale getirilmesi ve çekim sonrası aşamada eldeki görsel-işitsel materyallerin kurgu vb. işlemler aracılığıyla, film hikayesine uygun biçimde yeniden birleştirilmesinden oluşur. Böylece başlangıçta bir fikir ile harekete geçilip yazılı olarak senaryoya aktarılan film hikayesi, son aşamada filmsel bir bütün haline gelip görsel-işitsel bir forma kavuşur ve seyirci karşısına çıkar. Günümüzde sinema filmi yapım sürecinde rol alan kişilerin filmsel bütüne olan etkilerini ve bu sürecin teknik ve estetik koşullarını karakterize eden bu üretim döngüsü içinde “yapım öncesi aşama”, film yapımının diğer aşamalarına olan teknik ve estetik etkileri nedeniyle giderek önem kazanmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada, film yapım sürecinde “yapım öncesi aşama”nın film yapımının diğer aşamalarına ve dolayısıyla film estetiğine olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla öncelikle film yapım sürecine ve bu süreçte gerçekleşen teknik, estetik işlemlere değinilmiş, ardından yapım öncesi aşamanın bu akış içindeki yeri ve etkileri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna göre, üretilen filmin teknik ve estetik kalitesini belirleyen en temel ve ilksel kararların alındığı çekim öncesi (pre-prodüksiyon) aşamanın film tasarımı açısından belirleyici bir işleve sahip olduğu söylenebilir.

Abstract
Film production has three main stages. These are pre-production, production and post production stages. In this study we have examined the effects of the “pre-production stage” on the other stages in terms of film aesthetic. As is understood from the definition and relation with technology, film narration is formed by cutting the story into divisions of scenes during the scenario phase in the process of pre-shooting and audiovisualizing the related scenes in the process of shooting and recombining available audiovisual materials by editting processes in post production stage in accordance with the story of the film. Thus, the story of the film which was an idea in the begining is written as scenario is now presented to the audiences as an audiovisual format in the final stage. Today film pre-production is getting more and more important in the production process characterising the aesthetic and technical conditions and effects of players in the film itself.
Initially we have focussed on film production period and technical and aesthetical processes. Later on we tried to put forth the importance and influence of the pre-production in the process of film making. Thus it can be said that the pre-production stage is a determinative function in terms of film designing when basic and primeval decisions are being taken on the film for its technical and aesthetic quality.
