Abstract
İmam Şâfiî, hicrî 2. asırda Abbâsiler’in ilk döneminde yaşamıştır. O, İslâm dünyasında daha çok fıkıh ilmi sahasında ortaya koyduğu ilke ve çözümler nedeniyle kendi ismiyle anılan Şâfiî mezhebinin imamı olarak tanınmıştır. Bununla birlikte o, fıkıhta imam olduğu gibi Arap dili alanında da otorite kabul edilen büyük bir âlimdir. Ahmed b. Hanbel, el-Câhiz, İbn Hişâm gibi birçok âlimin ortak kanaati, onun Arap dili ve şiirinde otorite olduğu yönündedir. Arap diline ve şiire olan düşkünlüğü yaptığı derslere de yansımıştır. Nitekim Kur’ân ve hadis merkezli ders halkalarının yanında nahiv, şiir ve arûz dersleri de vermiştir. Güçlü ve belîğ bir üslupla birlikte derin bir dil yeteneğinin ürünü olarak ortaya koyduğu şiirleri, fakîh kimliğinin gölgesinde kalmıştır. Arap diline ve şiirine vâkıf olan İmam Şâfiî, çeşitli vesilelerle farklı konularda şiirler söylemiştir. Bu şiirlerin temasını çoğunlukla Allah’a yönelme, takva, tevekkül, dünya hayatının faniliği, af dileme, ölüm, ahirete hazırlanma, dua, kanaat, ilim ve güzel ahlak gibi zühd konuları oluşturmuştur. Genellikle irşâd, hikmet ve nasihat içerikli şiirlerinde didaktik bir üslup yolunu takip eden İmam Şâfiî, şiirleri vasıtasıyla insanları aydınlatıp İslâm ahlâkına uygun davranışlar kazanmalarını hedeflemiştir. O, sade bir dille söylediği birçok şiirinde, insanın ve toplumun ıslahını öncelemiştir. Bu çalışmada, İmam Şâfiî’nin edebî yönü ile şiirlerinde öne çıkan ahlâkî değerler üzerinde durulmuştur.

Abstract
Imam Shafii lived in the first period of the Abbasids in the 2nd century after Hijrah. He is known in the Islamic world as the imam of the Shafi'i sect, which is known by his name, mostly because of the principles and solutions he put forward in the field of fiqh. However, he is a great scholar who is accepted as an authority in the field of Arabic language as well as an imam in fiqh. The common opinion of many scholars such as Ahmed b. Hanbal, al-Cahiz and Ibn Hisham is that he is an authority in Arabic language and poetry. His fondness for Arabic language and poetry was also reflected in his lectures. As a matter of fact, he gave lessons in nahiv, poetry and prosody as well as courses based on the Qur'an and hadith. His poems, which he put forward as the product of a deep language talent with a strong and eloquent style, remained in the shadow of his jurist identity. Imam Shafii, who is well-versed in the Arabic language and poetry, sang poems on different subjects on various occasions. The themes of these poems are mostly ascetic subjects such as turning to God, taqwa, tawakkul, the mortality of worldly life, asking for forgiveness, death, preparing for the hereafter, prayer, contentment, science and good morals. Imam Shafii, who generally follows a didactic style in his poems containing guidance, wisdom and advice, has always considered the purpose of enlightening people through his poems and warning them to show behaviors in accordance with Islamic moral values. He prioritized the improvement of people and society in many of his poems that he sang in a simple language. In this study, the literary aspect of Imam Shafii and the moral values that come to the fore in his poems are emphasized.
