Abstract
Kapı filmi 2018 yılında gösterime giren, Mardinli Süryani bir ailenin trajik ve dramatik hayat hikâyesini konu edinen bir filmdir. Filmde, evlatlarının ölümü ve bazı sosyal zorunluluklardan dolayı yaşadıkları coğrafyayı ve evlerini terk etmek zorunda kalan bir ailenin trajik hikâyesi anlatılmaktadır. Bütün acılarını içlerine gömüp Almanya’ya taşınan aile yeni bir düzen kurar. Fakat yıllar sonra gelen bir telefon her şeyi alt üst eder. Yıllar önce öldürülen ve cesedi dahi bulanamayan oğullarının bedeninin teşhisi için Mardin’e çağrılırlar. Mardin’e gelen aile sadece oğullarının değil kaybettikleri her şeyin; köklerinin, ruhlarının ve hatıralarının peşine düşerler. Metaforlar, semboller ve motiflerle izleyicisine çok şey anlatmaya çalışan bu filmin satır aralarında da sıkça mesajlar verilmeye çalışılmıştır.
Bu çalışmada “Kapı” filminin satır araları okunmaya çalışılacaktır. Filmde üstü örtük olarak sıkça mesajlar verilmekte, izleyicinin bu mesajları anlaması ve çözümlemesi beklenmektedir. Bu mesajlar çeşitli metaforlar ve sembolik anlatımlar üzerinden yapılmaktadır. Metaforlar ve semboller bir metni zenginleştiren ve anlam derinliği katan unsurlardır. Yazılı metinlerde olduğu gibi sinemada da metaforlardan ve sembollerden istifade edilir. Özellikle metaforun kullanılması ve bu metaforun da tespit edilmesi, anlaşılması ve yorumlanması zihinsel bir çaba gerektirir. Kültürel bir okuma denemesi olan ve göstergebilim yönteminden de yararlanılarak yapılan bu çalışmada metaforik ve sembolik anlatımlar tespit edilerek çözümlenmeye, açıklanmaya ve anlamlandırılmaya çalışılacaktır.

Abstract
“The Door” is a movie that was released in 2018, about the tragic and dramatic life story of an Assyrian family from Mardin. It tells the story of a family who had to leave their home and geography due to the death of their children and some social obligations. The family, who buried all their pain and moved to Germany, establishes a new order. But a phone call years later turns everything upside down. They are called to Mardin to diagnose the body of their son, who was killed years ago and whose body could not even be found. The family that came to Mardin is not only of their sons but of everything they lost; They go after their roots, their souls, and their memories. Trying to tell a lot with metaphors, symbols and motifs, messages are frequently tried to be given between the lines of this movie.
In this study, it will be tried to read between the lines of the movie “The Door”. In the film, implicit messages are frequently given, and the audience is expected to understand and analyze these messages. These messages are made through various metaphors and symbolic expressions. Metaphors and symbols are elements that enrich a text and add depth of meaning. As in written texts, metaphors and symbols are used in cinema. In particular, the use of metaphor and the identification, understanding and interpretation of this metaphor require a mental effort. In this study, which is a cultural reading experiment and using the semiotics method, metaphoric and symbolic expressions will be determined and tried to be analyzed and explained.
