PANDEMİ SÜRECİNDE UZAKTAN YÜRÜTÜLEN TOPLUMA HİZMET UYGULAMALARI DERSİNİN ETKİLİLİĞİNE İLİŞKİN ÖĞRENCİ DENEYİMLERİ VE GÖRÜŞLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
İlk olarak Çin’in Wuhan kentinde görülen ve bu zamandan beri dünyanın tüm ülkelerinin maruz kaldığı COVİD- 19 salgını nedeniyle tüm alanlarda birçok değişiklikler meydana gelmiş ve farklı uygulamalar yapılmaya başlanmıştır. Bundan en fazla etkilenen alanlardan birisi de eğitim sektörü olmuştur. Özellikle yüksek öğretimde pandemi sürecinde yüzü yüze eğitime ara verilmiş ve eğitim açıktan veya uzaktan yürütülmeye başlanmıştır. Dolayısıyla dünya genelinde olduğu gibi ülkemizde de yüz yüze yürütülen eğitim öğretim faaliyetlerine bir süre ara verilmiş ve uzaktan eğitim yapılması yoluna gidilmiştir. Bu araştırmada da 2020-2021 güz yarıyılında öğretmen adayları için önemli bir ders olan ve yüz yüze eğitimin yanında iş birliği, toplumla iç içe olma, gönüllülük, paydaşlarla etkileşim gibi birçok değeri uygulayarak öğrenme fırsatı sağlayan topluma hizmet uygulamaları dersinin (THU) pandemiyle birlikte uzaktan yürütülmesinin kamu üniversitesinde öğrenim gören bir grup öğrenci üzerindeki etkileri ve karşılaştıkları sorunlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda normal yüz yüze eğitimde yapılan THU dersinde sağlanan sosyal sorumluluk bilinci edinme, topluma hizmet etme ve gönüllülük çalışmalarında duyarlılık kazanma, planlama, öz güven ve öz disiplin sağlama, mesleki anlamda gelişme gibi unsurların geliştiği saptanırken bu dersin etkililiğinin pandemi dolayısıyla yapılan kısıtlamalar ve alınan önlemler doğrultusunda düştüğü, uzaktan eğitimin birçok avantajının olması yanında dezavantajlarının olduğu ve özellikle toplumla işbirliği ve etkileşimin önemli olduğu bir meslek olan öğretmenlik mesleğinde etkililiğin düştüğü görülmüştür.

Abstract
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic seen in Wuhan in China on December 2019 has caused many changes in all areas and different applications have been carried out that since then all countries of the world have been exposed to it. One of the areas most affected by this has been the education area. Espacially at academic education, face-to-face education was postponed due to the pandemic process and education has been based on openly or remotely method. Therefore, as in the rest of the world, face-to-face education has been postponed for a while in education grades in our country and e-learning opportunities have been used. In this research, it is aimed to find out that the community service practices subject (THU) which is an important subject for candidates at teaching in the 2020-21 autumn term and provides the opportunity to learn by applying many values such as cooperation, being in touch with the community, volunteering, and interaction with stakeholders, in addition to face-to-face education, together with the pandemic, has been conducted in public. In this study, the effects on a group of students studying at the university and the problems they faced were tried to be determined. As a result of the study, it was determined that the factors such as gaining social responsibility awareness, serving the society and gaining sensitivity in volunteering activities, planning, providing self-confidence and self-discipline, and professional development provided in the THU course in normal face-to-face education have improved, while the restrictions and precautions taken due to the pandemic have resulted in the effectiveness of the subject. It has been seen that e-learning has many advantages as well as disadvantages and especially in the profession of teaching, which is a profession where cooperation and interaction with society is important.
