Abstract
Toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği algısının okul öncesi dönemde oluştuğu bilinmektedir. Bu sebeple bu dönemde çocuğa hitap eden sosyal çevre ve bu sosyal çevrede kullanılan materyaller oldukça önemlidir. Çocuğun gelişimini desteklemek, çeşitli kavram ve değerlerin kazanımlarını sağlamak için resimli çocuk kitaplarından sıklıkla yararlanılmaktadır. Bu dönem çocukların bu kitaplardaki karakterler ile özdeşim kurup; kişiliğinin temellerinin atıldığı dönemdir. Kitapların temel hak ve özgürlüklerini bilen, eşitlikçi bir anlayış benimseyen 21. yüz yıla uygun bireyler yetiştirmeye zemin hazırlar nitelikte hazırlanması önemli görülmektedir. Toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğinin bir değer olarak kazandırılmasının önemli olmasından hareketle, son yıllarda ülkemizde okul öncesi dönem çocuk kitaplarındaki cinsiyet algısını inceleyen çeşitli çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmalardan on tanesi seçilerek değerlendirilmiş, çıkarımlarda bulunulmuş ve öneriler sunulmuştur. Sonuç olarak derleme kapsamına alınan çalışmalarda analiz edilmiş olan yazılı eserlerin genelinde toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliğini destekleyecek öğelere rastlanmıştır. Çocuk kitaplarında kadınlar için genellikle kapalı alanlarda çalışılan mesleklerin uygun görüldüğü, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği değerlerine uygun olmayan öğelerin yer aldığı belirtilmiştir. Bu nedenle çocuk kitapları yazarlarına, kitaplarını hazırlarken toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği değerlerini benimseyen bir dil ve içerikle hazırlanmaları gerektiği önemli görülmüştür. Çocuklara hitap eden kitaplarda toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğine duyarlı bir dilin kullanılması, kitaplardaki görsellerin bu anlamda daha uygun olması ve geleneksel kalıp yargıları desteklemeyecek nitelikte içeriklerin sunulması çocuk kitapları yazarlarının dikkat etmeleri gereken faktörler arasında yer almaktadır.

Abstract
It is known that the perception of gender equality is formed in the preschool period. For this reason, the social environment that appeals to the child in this period and the materials used in this social environment are very important. Children's picture books are frequently used to support the development of the child and to ensure the acquisition of various concepts and values. In this period, children identify with the characters in these books; It is the time when the foundations of his personality are laid. It is considered important that the books are prepared in such a way as to prepare the ground for raising individuals who know their fundamental rights and freedoms and adopt an egalitarian understanding, suitable for the 21st century. Considering that it is important to gain gender equality as a value, various studies have been carried out in our country in recent years examining the perception of gender in preschool children's books. Ten of these studies were selected and evaluated, inferences were made and suggestions were presented. As a result, elements that would support gender inequality were found throughout the written works analyzed in the studies included in the compilation. It is stated that in children's books, occupations in closed areas are generally considered appropriate for women, and there are items that do not comply with gender equality values. For this reason, it has been considered important that authors of children's books should be prepared with a language and content that embraces the values of gender equality while preparing their books. The use of a language sensitive to gender equality in books that appeal to children, the more appropriate visuals in the books in this sense, and the presentation of content that does not support traditional stereotypes are among the factors that authors of children's books should pay attention to.
