Abstract
Türkmen masallarında, çalışkanlık, kahramanlık, vatanseverlik, adalet için mücadele etmek gibi değerler sıkça işlenir. Bu bakımdan masalların eğitsel yönü oldukça güçlüdür. Haklı ile haksız, iyi ile kötü arasındaki mücadelenin daima adalet, doğruluk ve çalışkanlığın zaferiyle sonuçlanması, toplum tarafından önemsenen bu değerlerin çocuğa aktarılması noktasında masal türünün önemini daha da artırmaktadır. “Akpamuk” adlı masal Türkmenistan’da oldukça sevilen ve ders kitaplarında metin olarak sıkça yer verilen bir anlatıdır. Kahramanı genç bir kız olan masal, yedi erkek kardeşten sonra dünyaya gelen bir kızın ağabeylerini arayıp bulma ve onlarla birlikte yaşamak için verdiği mücadeleyi konu edinir. Çıktığı bu zorlu mücadele türlü engellerle karşılaşan Akpamuk sabır, kararlılık ve cesaretle mücadelesini sürdürmüş ve sonunda mutluluğa kavuşmuştur. Dolayısıyla masal eğitimsel açıdan birçok işlev taşımaktadır. Bu bakımdan masalın kahramanı Akpamuk, özellikle kız çocukları için rol model bir karakter özellikleri göstermektedir. Çalışmanın başlıca amacı da “Akpamuk” masalının bu yönünü ortaya koymaktır.
Çalışmada döküman analizi yöntemi kullanılarak “Akpamuk” adlı masalın eğitimsel işlevleri “etik, psikolojik, sosyolojik, ekonomik ve öteki “ olmak üzere beş başlıkta incelenerek metnin ileti dizini ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca söz konusu iletilerin hangi kahramanlar aracılığıyla okura/dinleyiciye aktarıldığı da belirtilmiştir.

Abstract
In Turkmen tales, values such as hard work, heroism, patriotism, and fighting for justice are often mentioned. In this respect, the educational aspect of fairy tales is quite strong. The fact that the struggle between right and wrong, good and evil always results in the victory of justice, righteousness and hard work, increases the importance of fairy tales in terms of transferring these values, which are important to the society, to children. The tale called “Akpamuk” is a very popular narrative in Turkmenistan and is frequently used as a text in textbooks. The tale, whose protagonist is a young girl, is about the struggle of a girl who was born after seven brothers, to seek out her older brothers and live with them. Facing all kinds of obstacles in this difficult struggle, Akpamuk continued his struggle with patience, determination and courage and finally attained happiness. Therefore, fairy tales have many educational functions. In this respect, Akpamuk, the hero of the tale, shows character traits as a role model especially for girls. The main purpose of the study is to reveal this aspect of the “Akpamuk” tale.
In the study, using the document analysis method, the educational functions of the tale called “Akpamuk” were examined under five headings as "ethical, psychological, sociological, economic and other" and the message index of the text was revealed. In addition, it was also stated through which heroes the messages were conveyed to the reader/listener.
