MATEMATİK ÖĞRETMENLERİ VE ORTAOKUL ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN BECERİ TEMELLİ SORULARA İLİŞKİN DENEYİMLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencileri ve ilköğretim matematik öğretmenlerinin, “Yeni Nesil” olarak da bilinen, Beceri Temelli Sorular (BTS) ile yaşamış oldukları deneyimleri incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 yıllarında Mersin ili, Akdeniz ilçesinde bulunan bir devlet okulunda 6. ve 7. Sınıflara devam eden 30 öğrenci ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı okullarda görev yapan 14 matematik öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, araştırma yöntemi olarak, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden Olgu Bilim yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada, veri toplama aracı olarak, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, beceri temelli soruların (BTS) öğretmenler ve öğrenciler açısından deneyimleri, karşılaşılan zorluklar ve çözüm önerileri kapsamlı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın bulguları, BTS’nin eğitimdeki önemli rolünü ortaya koymakla birlikte, hem öğretmenler hem de öğrenciler açısından çeşitli zorluklar ve engeller barındırdığını göstermektedir.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the experiences of secondary school students and primary school mathematics teachers with Skill-Based Questions (SBQs), also known as 'New Generation'. The study group of the research consists of 30 students attending 6th and 7th grade in a public school in Akdeniz district of Mersin province in 2023-2024 and 14 mathematics teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The research method used in the study was the case study method, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study used a semi-structured interview form as a data collection tool. The study comprehensively discussed the experiences of teachers and students with skill-based questions (SBQs), the difficulties encountered and the solutions proposed. The results of the study show the important role of SBQs in education, but also that there are various difficulties and obstacles for both teachers and students.
