Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Klasik Yunan felsefesi ile İslam felsefesi geleneğinin ilk temsilcilerinden Kindi’nin, Klasik Yunan felsefesinden aldığı miras bağlamında şehvet konusu araştırıldı. Klasik Yunan ve Helenistik felsefesinin başat isimlerinden Platon, Aristoteles, Stoacılar ve Epikürcülerin felsefi argümanları bağlamında şehvete dair görüşleri incelendi. Şehvete, Kindi özelinde nefs teorisi ve ahlaki gaye sınırlarında değinildi. Kindi’nin şehvet anlayışı, Klasik Yunan etkisi ve İslam düşüncesi bağlamında temellendirildi. Datalar Klasik Yunan felsefesi ve İslam düşüncesi temsilcilerinden Kindi bağlamında toplandı. Şehvetten doğan aşk ile insanın kutsal değerlere ulaşmasının mümkün olduğu söylenebilir. Bu metafiziksel yolculuğun felsefi eğitim ve içsel dönüşümden geçerek meydana geldiği ifade edilebilir. Bu çalışma, aynı zamanda ismi geçen filozoflar bağlamında, şehvetin ahlaki değer taşıdığını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, şehvetin mutluluk ve ilahi hakikat yolculuğunda bedensel bir dürtüden ibaret olmadığını açıklamayı amaçlarken; varlıkların ahlaki olgunluk ve metafiziksel inşa sürecindeki yapıcı rolüne de değinmektedir. Bütün bu araştırmalar sonucu çalışmanın en çarpıcı yönü ise, insanların şehvet duygusuna yönelttikleri sapkın düşüncelerden derhal kurtulup, onunla yaşamayı öğrenmeleri gerçeğiyle muhatabı baş başa bırakıyor olmasıdır. Ahlaki yozlaşma ve toplumsal çürüme gerçeğiyle karşı karşıya kaldığımız bu dönemde şehvetin felsefesini tartışmalı ve gündeme getirmeliyiz. Zira şehvetin yokluğu söz konusu olmadığı gibi varlığıyla sosyal yaşamımızı nasıl idame ettirmemiz gerektiği konusunda kendimizi eğitmeliyiz. Dolayısıyla şehvet duygusunun dilini çözmeliyiz ki onunla doğru başedebilelim. Sempoyumda bildiri olarak yayımlanan bu çalışmamın makale formatı da en az onun kadar beğenileceğini umut ediyorum.Çalışmanın yönteminde ise doküman/belge analizi tercih edilerek nitel araştırmaya gidildi.

Abstract
In this study, Kindi, one of the first representatives of Classical Greek philosophy and the Islamic philosophical tradition, was examined in the context of the legacy he inherited from Classical Greek philosophy with regard to the subject of lust. The views on lust were examined in the context of the philosophical arguments of Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, and the Epicureans, who are among the leading figures of Classical Greek and Hellenistic philosophy. Lust was discussed in the context of Kindi's theory of the soul and moral purpose. Kindi's understanding of lust was grounded in the context of Classical Greek influence and Islamic thought. Data was collected from representatives of Classical Greek philosophy and Islamic thought in the context of Kindi. It can be said that it is possible for humans to attain sacred values through the love that arises from lust. It can be stated that this metaphysical journey occurs through philosophical education and inner transformation. This study also aims to reveal that lust has moral value in the context of the philosophers mentioned. While the study aims to explain that lust is not merely a physical urge in the journey towards happiness and divine truth, it also touches upon its constructive role in the moral maturity and metaphysical construction process of beings. The most striking aspect of this study is that it leaves the reader with the reality that people must immediately rid themselves of their perverse thoughts about lust and learn to live with it. In this period when we are faced with moral decay and social corruption, we must discuss and bring to the fore the philosophy of lust. For lust is not absent, and we must educate ourselves on how to sustain our social life with its presence. Therefore, we must decipher the language of lust so that we can deal with it correctly. In hope that the article format ofIn terms of this study which was published as a paper at the arfos symposium, will be just as well received. In terms of methodology, the study opted for document/record analysis and qualitative research.
