Model eliciting activities have been developed by inspiring from real life problems encountered in science field where mathematics is used extensively and various fields such as trade, engineering, and sports. With the use of these activities in math classes, it is aimed that students do mathematics in mathematics lessons similar to scientists and benefit from mathematics in solving real life problem situations. However, there are some principles to consider when designing effective model eliciting activities. These are reality, modeling, self-evaluation, model certification, model generalization and effective prototype principles. Modeling eliciting activities prepared in line with these principles are learning activities in which students are encouraged to mathematize the reality through expressing, testing, revising their own ways of thinking. In our study, it was aimed to examine the opinions of pre-service teachers, who are deal in the task of designing model eliciting activities in accordance with these six special principles. Within the scope of the study, 35 pre-service mathematics teachers who continue their 3rd year, have been given the task of designing an activity in accordance with these principles after training on model eliciting activities. Following the completion of task, interviews were held with 11 volunteer pre-service teachers. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews, the themes that provide information about the important experiences of prospective teachers in the activity design process, their difficulties, the task's contribution to them, the contexts of the designed activities were reached and some suggestions were made on teacher training in this direction.

In this study, the analyzes of Turkish teacher candidates for the content of the poem “Childhood” of Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, which is frequently included in Turkish textbooks, within the framework of the text-based teaching principle, which is the basic approach of Turkish teaching, was examined. Revealing the data about how Turkish teachers and prospective teachers make sense of the texts they can use in the lessons is of great importance in terms of both eliminating the problems in the teacher training process and planning the teaching. This qualitative descriptive study was carried out with 85 Turkish teacher candidates who took the Comprehension Techniques II: Listening Education course in the fall semester of the 2016-2017 academic year. The data were obtained through written answers to 4 questions addressed to students to analyze the text in question. The questions posed to prospective teachers within the scope of the research are as follows: 1. What does Affan Dede mean in the context of the poem named Childhood? 2. Explain the expression “sold me my childhood” according to the context of the poem. 3. What is childhood according to poetry? 4. What is the theme of poetry? Content analysis method was used to analyze the data collected from students. In the study, the opinions of the Turkish teacher candidates regarding the theme of the poem and the meaning of the expressions in the poem are presented in titles. As a result, it can be said that almost all of the Turkish teacher candidates are very successful in finding the theme of the poem, they can understand the concept of childhood as emphasized in the poem by Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, and they understood the phrase “sold me, my childhood” correctly. In addition, Turkish teacher candidates were found to be unable to demonstrate the expected performance in interpreting the image of Affan Dede in poetry.

The aim of this study is to develop a scale that is suitable for examining the factors affecting teachers' inter-school mobility and school selection decisions. In this context, the validity and reliability studies were conducted by determining the “Scale for Determining the Reasons of Teacher's School Choices”. During the development of the scale, the related conceptual framework was examined and an item pool was created and expert opinion was applied for the content validity. The pilot study of the draft scale was then carried out with the participation of 228 teachers working in public and private schools in Istanbul. At this stage, the data was analyzed with exploratory factor analysis and it was found that the scale was a five-factor scale. Then, the main application of the scale was carried out with the participation of 256 teachers selected through stratified sampling from the universe of Istanbul. In this application, the validity of the scale was evaluated by confirmatory factor analysis and its reliability was evaluated by Cronbach's alpha coefficient. With the results of the confirmatory factor analysis, the five-dimensional structure of the Scale for Determining the Reasons for Choosing the School of Teachers, which was developed in the pilot study phase, was re-established and confirmed. Cronbach's alpha results also revealed that the developed scale was a reliable data collection tool. Based on the findings of two applications, it was concluded that the Scale for Determining the Reasons of Teacher's School Choices was a valid and reliable scale.

History of archery as a part of Turkish culture is very long. It's presence continued after being sold on Islam in the same way it was before it. During the history, archery was a method used in wars and today it is mostly the kind of entertainment and sport. There are many pieces written about archery basis and making of arrow as well as many hadiths which represent opinion of Prophet Muhammad about these topics. That is why archery has a very important place in Turkish tradition and culture.
One of the works about archery is Minhâc-ı Rumât. It was written in year 1804 by Ottoman statesman Mehmed Emin Vahîd Pasha. In this piece, which is formed of seven chapters, there are many hadiths and Quranic verses. Vahîd Pasha imports that, while writing about commentary ( tefsir) , hadith, canon law (fıkıh), siyar (siyer) etc., he consulted with the experts of these religious areas. In this piece there are parts about arrow, ranges, virtues and methods of arrow shooting, some arrow experts, hadiths about archery, ritual and tendency rules in the archery arenas as well as renge competitions etc.
While researching the works about the archery we see that their history started in period of a prophet Adem. Mehmet Emin Vahîd Pasha mentioned prophets, beginning with Prophet Adem until the time of Prophet Muhammad and also added some parables. In this paper I tried to explain archery terms and notions from book Minhâc-ı Rumât and also to give some general information about Traditional Turkish Archery. In this way, terms in Minhâc-ı Rumât, which carry a great value for Traditional Turkish Archery will be recognised and gained.

The discovery of the Gagauz Turks was one of the most important events in the history of Turkish culture. 1930’s, due to the discovery of the Gagauz in Turkey and Romania created great excitement among the Turks. Books, articles, memoirs and translated works about Gagauz were published. Newspapers and magazines put this issue on their agenda and a lot of news was made. Scientific studies about the Gagauz in Turkey and Romania were held simultaneously and published. The Türk Birliği newspaper published in Romania, published both the news and articles related to the Gagauz in Turkey, as well as its original publication of the newspaper and expanded this subject as much as possible. The wave of excitement about the discovery of the Gagauz people also mobilized some poets. Behçet Kemal Çağlar who took the duty as describing the establishment philosophy and basic principles of the State of the Republic of Turkey via poetry wrote his poem titled ‘Tekrar Bulduğum Kardeşlerime’. The poem was published in the Türk Birliği newspaper published in Turkish in Romania in 1936. This poem by Behçet Kemal Çağlar is the first poem written about Gagauz in Turkish literature. Behçet Kemal's other poems were also published in the Türk Birliği newspaper. Although his other poems were included in the poetry books, his poem ‘Tekrar Bulduğum Kardeşlerime’ was not included in the books. This poem, which we think is forgotten as a result of carelessness or forgotten about as a result of not being prefered by the people who chose the poems for the books published after the poet’s death , is among the pages of the Türk Birliği newspaper. With this study, the text of the Gagauz poem has been unearthed and analyzed.

Common language is the name of the cultural language in which a language is based in a country. This common language is used by a profession, a community or a group, sometimes referred to as slang, sometimes jargon and sometimes as a special language. In terms of slang, jargon and special language, there is privacy and metaphorization.
In this study, the slim line between these two terms will be determined after providing the definitions and explanations made by the researchers of slang and jargon which are the products of verbal culture. In determining this fine line, the language of Kayseri's merchants will be used. The materials in the Kayseri merchant language have been compiled from existing studies in the literature and verbal culture products. The words were tried to be presented together with the examples.
The main purpose of this study is to determine the conditions under which slang and jargon can be slang and under which conditions. For this reason, the words examined were compared with both Hulki Aktunç's Great Slang Dictionary and Compilation Dictionary. While making use of the compilation dictionary, the words that have the same meanings both in the Anatolian dialects and in the language of Kayseri merchants, the words in the language of Kayseri merchants but not in the Anatolian dialects, the words in the Anatolian dialects but in the language of Kayseri merchants were compared in terms of meaning and in some places. As a result of this comparison, the words discussed were evaluated in terms of slang and jargon. At the same time Hulki Aktunç’s Great Slang Dictionary was compared with the examined words.
The words proliferating around the terms slang and jargon that come to life in written or verbal culture make serious contributions to both language and literature. As some of the words discussed at the end of this study are not included in the dictionaries, these words should be included in the slang or jargon dictionaries. With this study, it is aimed to contribute to both verbal culture and interpretation of slang and jargon terms in terms of Kayseri merchant language.

With the works written by Turkish authors of German origin in Germany, German society contributes significantly to their shared life by better understanding the culture of the Turkish society in which they live together. Emine Sevgi Özdamar's works are among the most important of them. In this study, ‘The Representation of Foreign Culture in Emine Sevgi Özdamars Narratives’, it is aimed to evaluate the content which is peculiar to Turkish culture in terms of cultural transfer in the narratives in the book titled ‘Courtyard in the Mirror’ by Emine Sevgi Özdamar, one of the German authors of Turkish descent.
In this respect, it is an indisputable fact that the cultural features presented in literary works, which are one of the most effective ways of using the undisputed link between language and culture, cannot be separated from human life. Especially considering that the idioms or proverbs we use in language are the result of the social cultural accumulation of that language, it can be said that the presentation of these statements to the reader in the other culture also assumes a task for the development of intercultural communication and interaction.
In this context, the works of Emine Sevgi Özdamar reveal the specifity and meaning of the cultural behavior of the Turks living in Germany in terms of interculturality. Özdamar’s work have contributed significantly to German society’s understanding of Turks in their own cultural behavior patterns. In parallel, Emine Sevgi Özdamar's book ‘The Courtyard in the Mirror’, which bridges between cultures, looks at recent social-historical events in terms of her memories. By examining the structures specific to Turkish culture written in the stories ‘The Courtyard in the Mirror’, ’Black Eye in Germany‘, ’My Istanbul‘ and ’My Berlin', the importance of different cultures will be evaluated in terms of the encounter.

Birth is the beginning of a great transformation process in terms of culture rather than just being born biologically. This transition phase brings along many cultural practices within the context of the facts that women assume the role of motherhood and men the paternity, the first concrete evidence of being a family has come into the World and parents’ social and psychological lives are focused on it. Although these practices are being gradually forgotten with the developments of being a modern society, there are still practices that continue to exist in rural areas. The birth process which is the starting phase of the transitional traditions which we express as birth, marriage and death traditions draws attention especially with practices on evil eye and magic. This process which starts with the estimations made to determine the sex of the child during pregnancy continues with the child’s tooth extraction, speech and walking. This study aims to evaluate the cultural values that have survived until today or have been forgetten comparing to other studies conducted in the region through being based on the traditions related to the birth and growth published in Turkish Mediterranean Journal which started its publication like in Antalya in 1937. The data obtained from the content of Turkish Mediterranean Journal are classified under three headings; they are discussed under the headings of rituals applied before, during and after birth. These scans and comparisons made in the name of birth and child rearing aim to transfer the practices that still exist in traditional folk culture to future generations.

Sentence comprehension depends on the understanding of both the individual words and their hierarcical relations with other words. So far, researchers have studied sentence processing by using different methods. In this study, sentence comprehension of school-aged children without developmental language disorder were investigated by using eye tracking measure. The data collection tool consists of ten sets of sentences in four different meaning conditions such as literal sense, figurative sense, polysemous sense and technical sense. In each condition the same target word, area of interest, were identified, which make a total of 40 target sentences. In this study, ‘the first fixation duration’, ‘total fixation duration’ and ‘total visit duration’ are used as the metrics of eye tracking data to analyze the processing of different types of Turkish sentences. The results revealed that in TVD and TFD parameters there was significant difference among all 4 categories of meanings. Furthermore, there was significant difference in TVD and TFD parameter among literal and polysemous meaning categories and figurative and polysemous meaning categories. On the contrary there was no significant difference among literal and figurative, literal and technical and figurative and technical meaning categories. The results of this study indicate that different meanings of the same word can cause different processing difficulties. The processing of polysemous meaning takes longer time than processing of literal, figurative and technical meaning. The children have difficulty in making connection between the literal meaning and polysemous meaning. Educators should improve children’s cognitive abilities and help them to create the connection between the literal and polysemous sense. The results suggest that salient meaning is more activated than the less frequent meaning. The results of the study are in consistence with Giora’s Graded Salience Hypothesis revealing that salient meaning is activated faster than the nonsalient meaning.

Caricature is a hurtful art branch based on revealing flaws by nature. The aim of cartoon is to create a social awareness and sensitivity. This branch of art includes both satire and praise. Satire results from discontent. The praise is to give the right to what is thought to be true. However, since the cartoonists are under the pressure of the government from time to time, they cannot fully fulfill their functions and are not allowed to oppose freely. As in all branches of science and art, cartoon also develops in an environment of freedom. Freedom is the formula for progress and development. Fear and oppression cause hatred and violence. No social problem can be solved with destructive behavior. It can only be hidden for a while. The suppressed emotions are expressed more strongly when the time comes. Indeed, this is the case in every period. He published newspaper and magazine.
In this article, the caricatures of Hüseyin Cahit Yalçın, published in Akbaba Magazine, were examined. Some of the cartoons published in the magazine are included in our study. As understood from the cartoons, the life of the author is full of troubles. Their bold discourse has a big impact on this. Some of his political writings have gathered reactions. Therefore, he was tried in court. From time to time he lived exile life. He also became a deputy. He is a popular person because he is a journalist and politician. He has many caricatures in the magazine. Cartoons are like documents reflecting the important events of his life. The writer, with his discourses, was both the target of negative criticism and accepted as a master.

Concept of value is a social phenomenon which regulates social life, and enhances attachment between individuals, and have genuine shared behaviour standards on which most people agree. Love, respect, helping each other, justice, honesty, mercy, tolerance, friendship are common social values on which people in a community compromise and agree. Art occupies a privileged place in values education in that it has either influenced human thoughts and value judgments or influenced by them for centuries. Every art movement has shaped society or been shaped by it through interactions. The value of art is evaluated by the place it has gained in people’s life through the usefulness and beauty it has provided. A game is an activity which is created with intellect and shaped with emotion, which makes it an activity in which creativity can be made use of limitlessly and freely. The creativity which a child shows while playing a game and an artist while building her work is an autotelic attitude. Autotelic attitude is an attitude which contains in itself its own aim. A child sees life as a game and communicates with life through games. Games liberate a child and ensure his existence, which means he exists as long as he can play. A game is very enjoyable, pleasurable and therefore a nice activity. Likewise, art is the language of an artist. While creating his work, the artist is, as it were, in a game and free and he exists as long as he can create. While the child acts the beautiful in a game, the artist acts the same as he is creating his work. While senses and feelings are trained through education making us of art, mental abilities also improve; therefore, the individual acquires the ability to systematically express his feelings, thoughts, impressions and views, thus,he is able to take his creativity to an aesthetic dimension through his shaping the material or his artistic work on the surface of the material. This study seeks to discuss and reveal with a paradigmatic approach the importance of concepts of game and autotelic attitude in acquiring social values, in acquiring behaviours required and expected from an individual for adapting to social life and in art education, which trains intellectuallized emotions and intuitions.

The information is obtained by the subject in order to make the external conditions appropriate, such as seeing, hearing, understanding, recognizing and solving the object. The subject that is informed about the object can now change using this information. Scientific and artistic knowledge is obtained from the relationship between the subject and the object, but we must say that artistic knowledge has a subjective character compared to scientific knowledge. Scientific knowledge ends in the researcher's effort, with different researchers reaching the same information about the same object. The artistic knowledge process is intuitive rather than experimental. The relationship between art and the artist and the way they express this relationship has over the centuries. The object is perceived, grasped by the artist. And during this process of perception, different emotions and ultimately aesthetic excitement arouse in the artist. At the end this process, aesthetic judgment-aesthetic entity emerges. When we specify this process, we define the process of creation an aesthetic event by the artist and artwork with such a relationship as the process of artistic creation. In this article, the relationship between the state of perception of the object and its aesthetic object-subject will be emphasized in all and beyond the spiritual, organic or inorganic layers of its existence. In the process of artistic expression that develops as a result of these relations, the states of the object and the subject will be discussed. In addition to these evaluations, the abstraktion and einfühlung events between the human and the work of art will be also discussed.

The novel La Dame aux Camelias written by Alexandre Dumas fils and the opera La Traviata composed by Giuseppe Verdi depict the so-called pleasurable life and tragic end of an elite courtesan, who faces true love and death. The reason of death is tuberculosis, a disease which was the most popular and romantic one, accepted to be suitable especially for sinful women as a redemption of their sins in the 19th century literature and opera. The society’s prejudices about Marguerite and Violetta’s sins are erased by the great sacrifice that the heroines do: Leaving the beloved man for their sake of dignity and honor. In this paper, the novel and the opera are compared through the plot analysis and the end of the stories of the heroines. The composer provides the characters in the opera and the audience to suffer less compared to the novel, via choosing a slightly peaceful farewell for Violetta. The author could express the psychological dimensions of being a fallen woman and the sacrifice made more profoundly, since he could use the power of words more freely than the composer. However, the composer could mesmerize the audience via the potential of musical and theatrical elements, thus ensured the work to be one of the legends of the opera world. In any circumstances, both the art works lead the audience and the reader to ask questions about the true nature of dignity, purity and love. They expose the courtesans’ need for compassion, sympathy and tenderness to a higher class society who are prone to think that courtesans are low by class. The success behind this story is making the society face its prejudices through the dramatical death of a fallen woman.

Necmettin b. Who lived in Damascus in the seventeenth century. Sivâr was a prominent Sufi poet who had been found in the ring of Shihabuddin Suhrawarddi (d.66 / 1234), one of the most prominent Sufis of the period, and who was influenced by Hariri, who was one of the controversial names of the time. The Syrian Arab Language Institute made a survey in 2009 and completed this research with the reappearance of Sivâr's academic journalists in the Arab world and made a lot of research about him in a short time. The poems which he uses in his poems have a similar approach to poetry as he says in his poems, as he shows in his poems, because the poems of Sivâr intensely show divine love, wahdat-i Body, and ecstatic as Ibn Farid's poems. Even in Sivâr's poems, it is seen that the emphasis of wahdat-i vucut has been repeated many times with a very pronounced and strong accent. This article will examine the poet's divan in terms of Sufi content. Vahdet-kesret, which is more prominent in the Sufistic literature; The relation of the God-world has been paid more attention. In the introduction section, we have been informed about the life of the Sufi poet Sivâr, whom we see as not working in academic circles in our country, and the academic studies in the Arab world have been referred. Later on, the mystical elements that stand out in the divan of the poet have been subject to classification

Disappear of Geographical boundaries after religious spreads starting from the 7th and 8th centuries and scientific and technological advances that developed rapidly from the second half of the 18th century caused to increase the elbow contacts and relations of the religions with each other. This mutual communication caused serious problems, especially in terms of Christianity. Because there are no references in the Gospels to respond to theological approaches and objections put forward by other religious members. This situation has led Christian theologians, who searched for new theologies to determine the state of their relationship with other religions, to develop different theological paradigms.
In short, Religious pluralism, which is the name of the view that accepts all religions, especially the major religions, as ways that reach God equally, and that does not distinguish between religions in terms of truth-value; has progressed rapidly from the end of the 19th century and has found many supporters in recent years.
As is known, there are many different religions in the world. However, this excess in the number of religions does not lead to a philosophical problem. The philosophical problems take form on the problems that arise as a result of the relationship between these religions and how these problems can be overcome. The aim of this study is to reveal that this paradigm, which seems very innocent and moderate, will pose a threat to the religions and especially the religion of Islam. Because we believe that religious pluralism is a thought which is produced by Christian thinkers and is not well-intentioned.

Traditional houses are the cultural assets that make it important with its local values. The residence consists of a city and the cultural identity of the region. The traces of the past, which vary according to the city, the locality and the region, and the cultural assets, provide the formation of the unique texture of the city. Anatolia, which has hosted many civilizations in the historical process, has the world’s leading ancient and rich cultural heritage. It is among the most important duties of all societies to keep these accumulations alive and transfer them to future generations. The archaeological excavations carried out in Cankırı reveal the existence of an uninterrupted settlement since the Paleolithic period. Çankırı city, which is one of the oldest settlements of Central Anatolia, has its own civil architecture. Cankırı has been an important center for the relations and cultures of civilizations. In addition to the mound, tumulus, rock tombs and settlements of the antique period, above ground settlement and necropolis areas, there are also underground settlements thought to be made for the purpose of worship and religious and civil architectural works enrich the region in a historical and cultural sense. The civilian architecture in the central district of Çankırı consists of the houses opening to the neighborhoods and streets, starting from the skirts of the Çankırı Castle and opening to the plain on the east-west axis, on the streets formed by partially interlocking streets. However, the city of Çankırı has been transformed into a large structure in recent years and the civil structures that have lost their originality in this structure have been destroyed and transformed into a civilian architecture which has been tried to be protected by being registered.

This descriptive study was carried out to determine the attitudes of students working with people with disabilities towards people with disabilities. 2nd grade students studying in Yozgat Bozok University and Bartın University Health Services Vocational School Elderly Care, Child Development and Home Patient Care Program constituted the population of the study. A total of 362 students voluntarily participated in the study and the participation rate was 86.2%. The data were collected using the introductory information form and the "Attitudes toward Disabled Persons Scale” (ATDP) aimed at determining the attitudes. The mean score of the students from ATDP was found to be 55.30±12.32 (55.580±12.271 for females and 54.154±12.532 for males). There was no difference in the mean score of ATDP of the students according to gender, income, presence of disabled individuals in the family and the program they studied. A statistically significant difference was found between the mean scores of the scale and maternal educational status and paternal educational status (F=3.36, p=0.036; F= 3.47, p=0.032, respectively). Attitudes were found to be more positive in parents with higher educational level. While 17.1% of the students stated that they had the feeling of fear-uneasiness with respect to providing caring for people with disabilities, 15.3% of them stated that they had the feeling of mercy. It was determined that the attitudes of the students were generally positive, and it was concluded that they needed closer guidance and support in the education process to be able to cope with the negative emotions they had while working with people with disabilities.

It is called “friendship” to put the anxiety of the other person in front of their own anxiety without any expectation, to seek solutions and to be beneficial for them. The “War of Independence” process was one of the timeframe that the Turks felt most in need of friendship. In this process, there were “non-Turkish” writers who embraced the troubles of the Turks as if they were their own troubles. One of these few authors was Claude Farrére.
Farrére showed that it was not necessary to belong to the same nation or religion to behave according to the meaning of friendship. As a human and author, Farrére did not leave the Turks and Turkey alone in their difficult and troubled times. Farrére properly observed the state of the Turkish nation trying to achieve independence in their struggle for survival. He expressed that the Turks were victims although they were right and he visited Turkey several times. Regarding his visit in 18-19 June 1922, Farrére said that he went to Mustafa Kemal’s headquarters as a private visitor, and the purpose of his visit was to recognise and salute that great unique patriotic man, as well as to materialise the previously declared signs of friendship between his country and Turkey. Although being occasionally critical of some of Turkey’s attitudes and evaluations, his interest and love for Turkish nation continued until his death.
The aim of the study is to reveal the importance of Turkophile Farrére in the Turkish national struggle and how he was seen by the Turks. Farrére’s thoughts, ideas and suggestions were analysed considering his time. The relevant copyrighted works were also used.

Regardless of whether you need luxury cars, bags, watches and jewelery or not, every product has a luxury category. The fact that the increase in the income level affects the consumption habits of people leads to the fact that the large masses have luxury products in many countries. The aim of this study is to examine the studies on the concept of luxury, to investigate the historical development of luxury, to investigate the change of viewpoints of luxury products over time and to share the current data about the luxury market. In this context, secondary data was obtained through literature research for the study and the data was evaluated on the online websites of institutions and companies active in the luxury sector. The study found that the perspective of luxury changed from country to country and from person to person, and luxury became increasingly democratized and accessible. It was found that luxury products were gradually being replaced by luxury experiences and "self-fulfillment". Businesses are understood to mean that those who shape and direct the luxury market are family-owned companies that produce luxury goods and groups of companies offering a wide range of international products. It has also been noted that the development of luxury luxury products has been tackled by companies producing luxury products in tourism, ie in the services sector. In this context, it has been determined that many brands that offer products and services in the luxury segment such as Bvlgari, Louis Vuitton and Ritz-Carlton have shifted their recognition and reliability to different developing luxury segments, especially hotel management.

Crime, which is as old as the history of humanity, is a phenomenon affecting societies with its causes and consequences. There are many factors that cause crime and interact with each other. These factors are handled by various disciplines and studies are being conducted to prevent crime. One of these disciplines is geography and tries to explain the role of space in crime formation. There is no doubt that crime takes place on a piece of space. The distribution of crime in space, its connections with other events and the cause-effect relationship and distribution are within the scope of geography.
The number of crimes committed in the settlement centers is directly related to the population. The greater the population in a settlement, the higher the likelihood of committing a crime. In this respect, with the cosmopolitan structure and population, the cities have higher capacities to produce crime than rural settlements. Its wealth, alienation and weakening social control mechanisms provide an ideal environment for committing crime in cities. One of these settlements is the city of Erzincan.
In this study, the types of crimes that occurred in the city of Erzincan and the crimes committed against the most common ones were examined. The distribution of crimes against the person and the socio-spatial differences affecting this distribution are examined. For this purpose, the crime statistics of 2017 were used. In the light of the data obtained, the relationship between the types of crimes committed against the person and urban land use and socioeconomic characteristics were discussed. Crime events were examined in terms of time and space and interpreted from a geographical point of view.

This commission was established in order to purchase air tools, equipment (airplane, balloon) and to training. Subsequently, the development process of military aviation showed a parallel evolution with aerial photography for exploration, surveillance and intelligence purposes, as in other countries. Especially during the First World War, the importance of aerial photography and the valuation of air observers were realized. Air observer, aside from taking aerial photograph, is a second pilot to fly the airplane like a pilot. Observing the place from the airplane to explore, to take photographs, to arrange artillery shots, to carry out radio communications and to fire ground targets are the other missions of air observer.
The aim of this study is to cover the gap in literature related with this occupation and put forth the importance role of air observer’s facilities by taking aerial photographs and making discoveries in wars. The data related to the research was obtained by means of source scanning method after that analysis and evaluation studies were conducted on the data. The data related to the research was obtained by means of source scanning method after that analysis and evaluation studies were conducted on the data. In this study, the appearance of aerial photography and its functions, also characteristics, upbringing and education processes and then the evolution of the profession in the form of aerial photography are emphasized. As a result, the importance of the profession in the history of military aviation has been revealed and it has been observed that it follows a parallel process with the changing needs and technology.
It has been determined how air observer directly affects the outcome of the war, especially with technology and scientific steps taken before and during World War I. It is the basis of the structure that will emerge in the future of the profession. In addition, determinations related to the stages of change that may occur in the future of the profession of air oserver have been made.

CREATING THE SAMPLE FLOOD RISK MODEL AND FLOOD RISK ANALYSIS OF RIVERS IN UNYE

As in many other countries of the world, the flood incidents which have been increasing in our country especially in the last 15-20 years cause loss of both life and property. In recent years, natural disasters, whose effects are more felt, are the physical factors such as climate, geomorphological features, vegetation and so on. Although it is closely related with the increasing population, unplanned urbanization, the economic and human activities in the river basins are also directly related. It is possible to say that especially disasters of meteorological origin such as floods have more destructive effects with changing climate conditions and these disasters occur more frequently. In our country, floods that occur after sudden rains especially in the Black Sea coastal belt adversely affect coastal cities. Considering such situations and considering that most of the floods occur in our country in the Black Sea Region, it has become a necessity to carry out flood risk analysis and to share the results with the relevant units. In this study, flood risk analysis of six (6) basins within the borders of Ünye district were carried out by using Geographical Information Systems techniques. Again, a flood model was created for flood risk analysis and it was provided to identify the areas that could pose risks in case of a flood. Thus, a model that focuses on what can be done before, during and after a disaster has been developed. In this study in which flood risk analysis is performed, Analytical Hierarchy Method (AHP) which is a method of Multi Criteria Decision Making method which consists of seven (7) parameters including slope, aspect, soil, land use, geology, precipitation and height is used for determination of flood risk groups. With these data, field studies were conducted to take into account the components in the natural environment without being connected to the computer, observations were made on site, sample positional points were selected and controlled classification was made. Thus, the findings obtained through field studies were processed with information technologies, an important tool for geography studies. As a result, an integrated flood early warning system model is targeted.

THE PLACE OF RUSSIA IN ENERGY SECURITY OF THE EU

Energy sources have always been an important place for human beings throughout history. The 'Energy Security' entity has a very important place for the EU, as the European region is an industrialized region, but its resources cannot provide enough energy for this industrialization. The European Union has always implemented sensitive policies for Energy Security. Today, most studies on energy security are focused first on oil and secondly on natural gas. One of the biggest investments of the 21st century is definitely investments in solar energy. Energy security has become an important policy area for the EU since the 2000s. As I mentioned earlier, the EU is made up of countries that import more energy. Since Europe cannot produce enough energy to meet the needs of its industry, it must import most of its energy. In this case, Russia is a major energy supplier to Europe because the EU receives most of its natural gas from Russia. Although the EU industry is highly developed, it is dependent on energy from abroad due to insufficient energy resources. Russia has been a region where the EU has safely imported its energy for almost 30 years. Even though ‘Energy Security’ is the most important thing for the EU, the same cannot be said for Russia. After the Cold War, Russia uses natural gas in the best possible way to make itself strong in the international arena. That is why the EU is looking for alternative energy sources and a variety of energy sources.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND GENERALIST SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE DURING THE FIRST YEARS OF TURKISH REPUBLIC

This humble work focuses on the rural development practice during the very first years of Turkish Republic. Accordingly, concepts such as “rural area” and “rural development” are discussed, and village institutes as practical examples of generalist social work practice that responds to the need for a holistic and multidimensional intervention during the rural development process are touched on. Although there is no single definition of “rurality” that affects a population’s way of working, solidarity and organization in a given area, “rural” in Turkey is believed to be characterized via various disadvantages. Practices of development are carried out to nullify the aforesaid disadvantages, and to reduce the poor and the poverty. Rural development is the totality of economic, social and humanitarian practices that are carried out in order to improve the living standards of people living in the rural areas which pays attention to the policies that leads to the exploitation of the resources and which favors sustainability. The success of this process depends on maintaining the participation of targeted ruralites that are expected to benefit from it, and on carrying out services that are proper to the structure and the needs. Handling problems and realizing the potentialities holistically in a given rural development area belongs to the role and the responsibilities of social work. In rural areas, generalist social work practice is preferred. The need for multi-information bodies and the insufficiency of specialized particular practices seem to be the reasons behind this choice. In order to produce a strong social work intervention in rural areas, there is need to reevaluate the practices of the past. To do so, the rural development policies of the early Turkish Republic and village institutes as an example of generalist social work practice are discussed. As a result, despite all the positive and negative critiques, village institutes of the early republic appear as a holistic rural development policy and a generalist social work practice.
