ÖRGÜTLERDE YÖNETİM TARZI VE ALGILANAN ETİK İKLİM İLİŞKİSİNİN ANALİZ EDİLMESİ: KANTİTATİF BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Örgütlerin performansını ve verimlilik düzeyini, ekonomide uygulanmakta olan para ve maliye politikaları ile enerji ve petrol fiyatları gibi örgüt dışı dinamiklerin yanı sıra örgütte sergilenen yönetim tarzı, yönetim ve çalışan ilişkileri, yöneticilerin sahip oldukları beceriler ile çalışanların motivasyon düzeyi gibi örgüte özgü özellikler etkilemektedir. Bunlar arasında özellikle yönetim tarzının örgütün etkinlik ve finansal karlılık düzeyine ilişkin öncüller arasında yer aldığı görülmektedir. Örgüt yöneticilerinin, örgütün amaçları doğrultusunda liderlik etmesinde yararlandıkları genel bir yaklaşım olarak yönetim tarzı; örgütün belirsizlikler karşısında etkin bir biçimde koordine edilmesi, çalışanların örgütün vizyonuna adanmışlığının sağlanması, onların örgüte olan bağlılıklarının arttırılması ve örgütün etik sorunlarla başa çıkmasında hangi davranışların tercih edilmesi gerektiği konularında yol gösterici fonksiyona sahiptir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Aydın’daki özel sektör işletmelerinde uygulanan yönetim tarzı ile çalışanların algıladıkları örgütsel etik iklim ve onun boyutları arasındaki ilişkilerin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Araştırma kapsamında yönetim tarzları ve algılanan etik iklim ilişkisi konusunda kuramsal ve ampirik bulgulara ilişkin değerlendirmelerden sonra uygulama kısmına odaklanılmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulanması için tasarlanmış olan anket formu Aydın ilinde turizm sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmelerde görev yapmakta olan 138 çalışana uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde yapılan analizler sonucunda, uygulanan yönetim tarzı ile çalışanların algıladıkları örgütsel etik iklim arasında pozitif yönlü ve istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Yapılan regresyon analizi ile demokratik, özgecil ve ailesel yönetim tarzlarının algılanan örgütsel etik iklim üzerinde anlamlı düzeyde katkıları olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract

Organizational performance and productivity levels have been influenced by organizational dynamics such as money and finance policies being applied in the economy and non-organizational dynamics such as energy and oil prices, as well as organizational characteristics such as managerial and employee relations, management skills and employee motivation levels. Specifically, among these, it appears that the management style was among the precursors to the level of efficiency and financial profitability. As a general approach that organizational managers take advantage of in order to achieve organizational goals, the management style was to function as a guiding function in effectively coordinating organizations against uncertainties, ensuring that employees are committed to vision, increasing their loyal commitment, and what behavior should be preferred in coping with ethical problems. The aim of this research was to reveal the relationship between the management style applied in private sector enterprises in Aydın and the organizational ethical climate and its dimensions that employees perceive. Within the scope of the research, the focus was on the application part after evaluating the theoretical and empirical findings on management styles and perceived ethical climate relation. The survey form designed for the implementation of the survey was applied to 138 employees working in the tourism sector in Aydın. As a result of the analysis made in the research process, it was found that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between the applied management's salience and the organizational ethical climate that employees perceive. The regression analysis revealed that democratic, altruistic and familial management styles contribute significantly to the perceived organizational ethical climate.
