Abstract

Abstract

For the Crimean Turks, 20th century imply the times that the sense of belonging is broken, the ontological frustration is dragged on, they feel rootlessness. Russians' desire to place Jews in the Crimean lands, the hunger / poverty and occupation process led to noble resistance through the rebellion of the Crimean Turks, and the ontological break-up has gained momentum as the Russians repressed this resistance in a bloody manner and sent the Crimean Turks to exile. Cengiz Dağcı tried to keep the collective national identity of the Crimean Turks, like their people ripped off from their land and in despair and helplessness. Cengiz Dağcı, known mostly for his novels around the war track. In his novels, it is possible to see examples from his own life or from the occupation processes experienced by the Crimean Turks. Through integrating reality with fiction, he aimed to make the facts visible in a book, that is prepared with the rigor of a history book, to describe the cruelty and alienation of the Crimean Turks had experienced. Referring to the studies about the author in Turkey appears to be featured more of his novels. However, the trio of stories he had wrote during his time in England shows another aspect of him; that is although his storytelling is not as remarkable as his novelty, it is still remarkable. This study focuses on the human concepts in the authors' the three-long story trilogy that the he wrote under the title "An English Story"; "Mr Markus Burton's Dog", "Mr. John Marple's Last Journey", "Oh, Markus, Oh"
