Abstract

/+lAyl/, /+lAyU/ and /+lAyln/ Affixes are compound affixes that were formed through affix stereotype. These affixes, (bulıtçılayu, sulayın) come to the noun words, come to the verbals finitely (vardıgınlayın, ısırdugunlayın) like /+lAyln/, too. The affixes that attribute 'similarity, relativism or equality' meanings to the words which they are added are like /+lAyl/ and /+lAyU/ in the old Turkish. Since Karakhanid Turkic term, form of /+lAyln/ had started to be used, /+lAyl/ and /+lAyU/ forms discarded in time. It’s been seen in the studies that, the affix notifies demonstrator on noun based words, similarity on personal and reflexive pronouns, similarity on proper nouns, similarity on concrete common nouns, state on abstract common nouns, state on time meant words, state on number names and on verb based words it notifies similarity on abstract common nouns and makes stative noun. In this study, firstly, the historical development and origin of the affix will be handled then their functions on noun derived words will be discoursed. It’s been determined that, in proper nouns, the affix’s made similarity nouns by coming to names of people who have reputation that are well known in our literature and who are literary heros, in concrete common nouns it’s been mainly used with animal names and has made a similarity. The main function of the affix that is used predominantly with noun derived words is making adverbial words. It’s attributevely usage is extremely low and restricted. The affix that is used with the words in simple, derived and compound verbals took part in compound verbal, too and in verb based words it is used after verbal adjective.
