Abstract

The removal of redundant Arabic & Farsi vocabularies and gramatical rules from Turkish language, and the use of Turkish equivalents begins with Şinasi during Tanzimat Period. That brought about simplification of Turkish language in its natural way of development in National Literature period, which headed as ‘New Language’. However, Turkish after 1940s continued the natural way of development, especially after 1942, Turkish simplification initiated on the grounds that such simplification initiatives, as a contrast to the continuity of the national culture and scientific procedures, were performed, then took the purism style. And that caused irregularity of the language In this study, between the years 1940-1980 in order to simplify Turkish language, false suffix use or incorrect use of suffixes derived from the new addition to the use of foreign words and suffixes instead derived from the incorrect use of wrong words was determined. It was pointed out that during this period the deriving wrong word was realized without watching out Turkish, structure, rules, vowel and consonant harmony, structure and function of joints of attention. It was tried to show that such kind of wrong suffix or suffixes were derived without paying attention to the meaning and functions of the rules of Turkish. Instead of derivational suffix the inflection words and imitational words were studied. It was detected that derivations, in order to simplify the word deriving which employed from the 1940s to 1980, were impoverished Turkish. It was concluded that simplification should be carried out in the natural function of the language, not by fabricating, and also it was concluded that such simplification would be more efficient.
