This research aims to answer the question of “What is the contribution of graphic organizers to the development of reading comprehension?”. The mixed model and action research pattern were used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 28 students who attend the fourth grade of primary school in the city of Uşak. Easily accessible sampling technique was determined as the sample selection technique. Quantitative data were obtained with worksheets prepared by the researchers. These prepared worksheets were used as pre-test, post-test and permanence test. Qualitative data were collected through the entitled "Contribution of Graphic Organizers to Primary School Fourth Grade Students' Reading Comprehension Skills Interview Form".The application lasted 10 weeks, two hours a week. The data obtained for the first sub-problem of the research were analyzed by dependent groups t-test and the data obtained for the second sub-problem were analyzed by content analysis and thematic coding. Between the pre-test and post-test scores of the study, a shot of 29.64 points can be seen. This increase is a significant. At the end of a 10-week application, it would not be wrong to say that the study group's improvement from the low level to the good level and the application of reading comprehension with graphic organizers contributed to the comprehension skills. It can be said that the permanent aspect of the application is high. Almost all of those in the study group liked to practice and found it useful. It can be stated that they want these applications to be used in Turkish lessons. Most of them said that they had a positive attitude change about reading.
