This study presents the history and the important language characteristics of the Oghuz Turks. The properties pertaining to the Oghuz Turkish in diwans written in Chagatai has been shown in charts.While the common Turkish of Central Asia persisted, Oghuz Turkish grew stronger. One can remark the traces of Oghuz Turkish since Old Turkish. The most important branch of the Turkish of y- is the southwest one (Oghuz Turkish).
