The basic question about the issue is that ‘Is religious education compatible with science education? As a way of reconciling science and religious education, the scientific religious education approach has been came to the fore. The scientific religious education approach proposed comprehending religion in phenomenological way and moral education excluded basic doctrines and metaphysics of religions. In the other hand, religious education approach in Turkey takes into consideration science and scientific thought, it scientifically evaluates religion in curriculum development, it includes moral education in religious education and it considers Islam supports science and scientific thoughts.
