ASSESSTMENT OF THE STATUS READINESS OF TO THE DUTIES OF ACADEMIC STAFF WHO TEACH TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TÜRKÇENİN YABANCI DİL OLARAK ÖĞRETİMİNDE GÖREVLENDİRİLECEK ÖĞRETİM ELEMANLARININ GÖREVE HAZIR BULUNUŞLUK DURUMLARININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ
Aim of this study, is to determine of the status readiness of to the duties of academic staff who teach Turkish as a foreign language. Research, were carried out the working group of 16 people consisting of 15 lecturers who served on Erciyes University. These teachers participating in the course for teaching Turkish as a foreign language. This study was with conducted interviews and document analysis methods in qualitative research approach. Interview form which basic data collection consisting of four questions was prepared for obtain data. The working papers were collected for evaluation purpose as an examination document from trainees. Descriptive statistical methods were used in the analysis of personal information of faculty members. In the analysis of documents, content analysis method was used in qualitative research methods. According to the results, almost all of the study group, did not receive an education and was not experience in this area before. Academic staff who teach Turkish as a foreign language pointed to the need periodic arrangement of preparatory training activities including modern methods.
