Abstract

In order to maintain the life, mankind always used the opportunities presented to him in which he lived. In its turn, this has shaped his life that's to say his culture. Of course, geographical conditions is no a single case that grounds the culture. Mankind himself and the life style that manner his production style is the main factor in the formation of culture. Considered from this point imece culture is perhaps one of the most important cultures of Anatolia. In the classical teachings, Turkey is considered as "an agriculture and animal husbandry country", perhaps because of this feature, the communal work culture (imece) providing the labor collective in the process of public production. Daily needs of the rural residential areas mandates solidarity and awareness to collective bargaining have created the communal work culture (imece) which is a part of social sustainability.
